  1. Thanks for the comments! heard form the GML today they recieved my application...just waiting for the confirmation....gusee it comes from Staff at 501st?? I have adjusted the shoulder bell connection and thinking the slight tweeaking will help. Also still waiting on a one piece suit I ordered from renaissance ....will replace shirt which appears loose...Have to go to Fairbanks and see about underarmor... will always continue to work on the buid, guess it never really over,, plenty of re-fitting after long troops also i am sure...( just like when I was an 11B in the US Army) Will let everyone know when it is official
  2. Ok here are the last pictures: Firts a couple of the shoulder fix from Stukatrooper.... My application pictures: I feel I did my best with my build, it can always be improved on for EIB later, also very pleased with the pictures, for not having a photo studio or better camera. I am hopeful to have membership by February so I can troop at the Star Wars exhibit icoming to Anchorage...... Comments welcome and suggestions welcome....thanks again to everyone that has helped me, special thanks to pandatrooper!!!
  3. Wow, I was getting ready to post my AP build/application photos....how do you expect me to even follow this act? Fantastic job, photos of your skilled work and dedication are awesome, thanks for posting. Well I am not tery to hijack this thread...good job!! Wish I had the ability, talent, time, and dedication. I can only hope my build is good enough for at least getting basic membership.
  4. I am complete!! photos being taken and posted this weekend. Thanks to everyone that assisted me.
  5. I purchased a renaissance suit zipper in crotch/with thumb loops in sleeve. Although I have not completed a troop yet, I hope to give a report on how it works in a not too distant time away. I also installed a thermostat dial on my armor for the -40 weather I get in the winter of interior Alaska. Hope it works...
  6. The harness you fabricated is AWESOME!!! taking steps now to adjust and complete armor suggestions posted: getting elastic correct on the bells and such. Wow I am very pleased with feedback and humbled by having the help from those that posted. Additional comments are welcome as I inch closer to the end. thanks again. Photos to be updated this weekend...Dennis
  7. UPDATE 2010: Progress has been in small steps...first full test fit tonight, I can feel things that need to be adjusted and having the pictures have shown me the directions I want to go in, fix left knee, trim and even up the strips on thighs, add elastic in places and get things firmed up. Still lots to do....Thinking I am about 50-60% complete.....must keep moving along to be ready by February for Star Wars exhibit in Anchorage!! Comments welcome: Front Back Arms out
  8. Update 2010: I received my holster, way cool! I received replacement tube stripes! Working on thighs and detail shaping and shiming. I used pandatroopers hand plate build for reference, but I used a fabric glue instead of sewing, I had used this before with some Kiss costumes I have done previously, should hold if not will get a needle and thread....About 50% completed with the build. What to be done and part of the 501st prior to the Star Wars exhibit coming to the Anchorage museum for a month in starting in Feburary should be some good trooping to be had at the event. What do you think of my cool hand gestures? Comments welcome.... Calfs - (back closed with velcro) Still waiting on my under suit, neck seal, frown screen, and harness system in the mail ....thanks to everyone on the forum that has helped me with my build special thanks to pandatrooper,,,,very nice! Update again soon!
  9. Thanks for commenting! I have to put the helmet on like a cork screw......it is tight. Will be trimming and fixing strips to avoid the bite, the only bite I really want is when I am fishing. Thanks again! Pictures being posted tommorrow of my progress...

Calfs I will post some more (photos this weekend) the build is about 40% complete.
  12. That sucks <_< so I guess I will order some from you to replace...there is no way i could line them up that straight one by one. Anybody see anything else??
  13. Almost completed the Helmet, just need to add frown screen. I am going to attempt to use Pandatrooper's technique to attached hand plates. Last photo is of the Right arm.
  14. Can anybody point me in the direction of frown screen for my helmet. I have gone to every store in Fairbanks Alaska and can not find what I want for my helmet frown. Anybody got extra material, I can $$$, shoot me a PM...Thanks in advance.
  15. Thanks in advance. PS: the hand plates are done and I started on the forearm and biceps. front inside side angles more to come! will add trim on the bottom also...
  16. I have been working on the items mentioned...100 photos....is that all? I am going to post an updated photo of the helmet soon. Thank you for the feedback. This does help much...
  17. Yes...I was trying to be careful no to trim to much, will adjust and post, thanks for looking and commenting
  18. I saw your "how to" and I am going to use this method to attach...I have seen these pictures ...I was wondering about the wrist side do you have some or any curve to it? thanks for the post and reply
  19. I am sanding down some more of bump, and hope to have the helmet married together soon for those that are willing to critique my work. I really do like all feedback good and bad...thanks again
  20. So I got my AP Armor in the mail. Hard to wait for the local armor party to happen so i got started trimming. Going for ANH stunt look. tell me what you think please...looking for advice and a vote of confidence... Hand Plates: do these need to stay squared all the way around the base/bottom? I have looked for references and nothing really shows the hand plates...Am I being too anal? Helmet: have I trimmed enough around the eyes? Feeling good about it just sanding up is left before I marry up the helmet pieces with rivets.
  21. Inbetween sanding and priming the E-11 project I started, I have began making a DLT-19, hope to have both completed prior to 2010! Hope I can avoid a divorce with all the time I have spent in the garage the last 2 weeks. How am I doing...
