tinman Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I got a question I have a ap helmet and when I have my picture taken you can see my eyes through the green acetate visor, I was under the understanding that the green was reflective with or without a flash what do I need to do to prevent this? Hi, Shane -- most guys end up making their own lenses out of welder's material to solve the problem. Our very own Smitty makes nice ones, or you could make them yourself. I've seen some other really cool solutions using green visors from football helmets. In my rig, I have welder's lenses, with the green acetate in front of them -- it conceals my eyes from the camera flash, and still has that cool, shimmering green. Quote
NAZGÛL Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 There are different kinds of acetate. The kind I had om my CE worked perfect. Im afraid you will have to buy new. Quote

Jehudah Design Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) For my AP helmet, I made new lenses out of Plexiglass with tinting foil applied, then had the green acetate over that. It looked pretty cool and metallic this way. See photos of it here ------------ Edited February 3, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
