TK-9820
If you paint the inside of a MR CE helmet black, will it eliminate the need to swap out lenses for darker green ones? This would be for the purposes of 501st application process. I used matte black Plasti-kote and it seemed to give the effect of darkened lenses in various lighting conditions. My other completed mods on this helmet so far have been: 1) filed down mold join along the frown/jaw area 2) filled in jaw gap 3) chopped down ears 4) added new blue tube stripe decals Any thoughts would be appreciated. Sorry if this question is redundant. I might have missed the answer somewhere.
Nootch
it won't stop your eyes showing up if a flash is used when photographing, really you don't want to be able to see in under any lighting condition.
D-MAC
I agree with Gary it's best to paint the inside of the lid to stop people seeing your eye's i used Plasticoat but found it left black marks on my hands and face even weeks after. and dark lenses are a must Have a look at the inside of my MR if i were you id just paint it with i good model paint. ----- If you need the padding i can supply just pm me if you need some Edited December 6, 2020 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2020
baron von blondle
If you swap out the lens for some decent acetate (available from members of this board) you'll also find you can see perfectly. The MRCE lens distort a lot! Respect P.
