Chest Plate Build Questions

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am asking here because you guys are the ones who I figured would have the most experience doing the chest plate and back plate builds. I am working on a Darth Caedus chest and just need some help figuring out the best way to make it... I'll post a few reference pictures at the end.. I am thinking of using ABS to do it, but am also considering 3D printing it, or the garbage can method... so really what I am asking is for peoples experiences with making their armour so I can make a properly informed decision. Also, how do you guys adhere the armour to your undershirts? I was thinking neodymium magnets but again, I want your opinions as to resident experts!

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hey Michael. Awesome costume idea!! I absolutely loved this character in the Legacy of the Force series. Now I can't really speak for most members here (I just got my armor kit in the mail yesterday and am beginning to build), but I think ABS would be the best way to go considering it's strength and durability. And I think velcro would be your best bet to connect the armor to the undersuit. However this forum site is mainly dedicated to all things stormtrooper :dancing-trooper:  For this type of build I would recommend going to the Sith Lord Detatchment forum and asking questions there. Who knows you may find someone on there who has built a Caedus uniform and can easily assist you :) Their website is
