For the helmet I tried a hard hat system I had laying around but in the end I found that using the anovos inner with added padding at the top and over the nose, plus putting chin strap really works great.

I redid the straps for the thighs and sanded down the rough edges at the top, taking off a mm or two. Not had time to test them, will put photos with the the results.

Ok so the big thing, first of all a big thank you to ukswrath and welshchris77 for their advice on the back plate, I don't think I would have dared without the instructions, pictures and all.

 

I tried on some off cuts and after some success I attacked the backplate,
