yooper419[501st]
Hi, everyone.I'm getting ready to start my first build. I was thinking about an ANOVOS trooper kit. BUT, it says the sizes START with someone who is 5'8" and taller. I'm only 5'6". Does anyone have any feedback on whether this kit could be modded appropriately for my body size (again, 5'6" and avg build)? Thanks for the help! mikedwelle94[TK]
There's several things you can do to modify any kit for a shorter individual. I would start by taking some material off the tops of the thigh armor, taking care to follow the contours. Perhaps you could take a bit off the bottoms of the shin armor as well, but not too much there. Mark Hamill had his chest plate trimmed in ANH to accommodate for his shorter height. Just use a heat sealing iron to create a new return edge.
yooper419[501st]
Thanks, Colonel! Good tips! That return edge was what I was most worried about. Wondering how difficult that may be to pull off. Thanks again!
TK Goatee[TK]
I'm 5'4" and I compared all pieces to my existing FX armor. The only ones needing a new return edge are the thighs. Poor me, I'm so afraid to do that. Hope I don't mess it up.
