swapter23 Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 hello I'm new to this forum and I'd like to try to join the 501st but before I try an application I definitely need to work on the armor that I have. the armor that I purchased is secondhand from a guy who made it from a kitty purchase the material he stated was abs plastic. Now he sold it cheap and I figured if I could not make this armor up to spec to wear I could make it good enough to stick out of my mannequin as a display piece. my question is does anybody paint their armor and if so what would be a good paint to use if I got it done professionally. the reason why I asked is his old velcro job is pretty bad and as I look close I see he had painted a few pieces flat white. I would generally like to strip it all down and redo it from scratch but I think I'd have to paint it completely. any help would be appreciated thank you very much. Quote
