PanzerKraken[TK] Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 So got one recently, lovely work of art these hyperfirms. Got it to use with my TK for something more menacing and also for use with my Scout. Now since I want to use it with my scout, I wanted to make it the sniper variant with a scope attached to it. Would like to have it that I can remove the scope to troop with the TK and then put it back on for Scout sniper duty, but was wondering what I can and can't do with a hyperfirm, or best way to add anything to it. Since I want it to have a detachable scope, figure adding a rail of some kind to the top would be easiest to do. Heard they put a rod in the middle of the hyperfirm dlt? Suppose I shouldn't try drilling or cutting into it, so perhaps best best would simply be using something like e6000 to add a scope rail on top of it. Most scopes might be too heavy though, not sure if the adhesive would be able to withstand the weight of the mounted scope. Perhaps getting a fake plastic scope of some kind, like a airsoft replica or something might work? Quote
Beren[501st] Posted July 26, 2013 Report Posted July 26, 2013 Yes, I can confirm there is a solid rod in the center. I found it while modifying the tip of mine. You might be able to attach a plastic scope with 1/2" self tapping screws, but I suggest you test the depth first with a small drill. Quote
