kaa1304[TK] Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) Hi there I was looking into paints for the soles of my TK Boots for full ROTJ (soles must be white) and was considering looking for some hard wearing, outside-use, white paint probably from B&Q or Homebase or similar. Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for this? -------- thanks! Edited January 18, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed Quote
TrooperJay Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) I would try a couple coats of plasti-dip. I dont know if you have ever heard of it, it's pretty cool stuff. Durable inexpensive and very very easy to work with. Considering they are going onto your soles, the paint will take a lot of wear. Plasti-dip is a rubber coating, with a few coats it should stand up for a troop or two. Keep in mind, dont expect any paint to be permanent if you plan on doing sole coating. Takes the most wear of your entire TK suit! ------------ Edited January 18, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed Quote
kaa1304[TK] Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Posted September 19, 2012 Hi thanks for that. I ended up getting an all weather, all purpose, outdoor white paint, it seems pretty effective, two coats covered the soles well and I did a third for good luck It's called "Fortress all purpose matt white", got it in B&Q Quote
