AM chest/back question

Hey guys. So I just received a shiny new AM kit for my wife's TD armor. I noticed the pieces at the bottom of the back and chest that goes under your arms extends a lot more than other kits I have seen. Do I need to trim these or are they more accurate like this? Thanks!

Better to trim them, using screen captures, behind the scenes photos, and archive photos as a reference.
