mailman70 Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Seasons greetings, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! First off, I just received my initial order from Trooperbay ... part of that order was TK gloves and accompanying rubber hand armor. Can anyone recommend a good method to attach the hand armor to the gloves (I've already tried E6000 w/ no luck). Secondly, and more importantly, I've ordered my first set of armor! For months now, a buddy of mine has had a very cool set of TK armor displayed in his home. He's not 501st or an FISD member, just a very serious collector. I offered to buy the armor to no avail. My buddy did however offer to make a few calls and see if he could get me a set. Long story short, my armor is on its way and should be here by mid to late December. From what I've seen on build threads here, I believe the armor is AM. Perhaps not ideal, but the details are in the build right!?! Anyway, if all goes well, and preparing for baby doesn't get out of hand, I just might be trooping come spring 2012!!! Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Are the gloves rubber as well? If that's the case, Karin (queen of the rubber hand guards) recommends loctite superglue for plastics with the primer pen. I used this and it worked amazingly!! Good luck with the new Baby!!! Quote
TK_LEPER Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) I've used silicone calk ... like for bathtubs n stuff. You just have to let it set fully, but it holds very well. Edited November 30, 2011 by TK 4702 Quote
