elkamino Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 Has anyone else noticed more orange peels in their ABS when they rapidly heat it up. I find I cannot make repeated pulls on my vacuum former. I have to start the oven up cold and let the moisture be baked out of the ABS. Anyone know of a method to avoid the moisture without the use of slow heating it? Quote
TK4205 Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 I've had the same problem here in puget sound. Very wet here. I get the best pulls in the summertime. You can take it outdoors and warm it up by laying it in the sun. helps a little. Quote
TK-2126_MD[TK] Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 ..... dont know about ABS humidity???? but while i worked in the Bolivian amazons, we used old 1970-1980 ( dont know the actually name) machines that use to pull air in and retain the moisture, heat and dry the air. To keep medical supplys dry, we used ones powdered by diesel or kerosen, we had a electric one .....but no electricity ( at least not with the right Hertz,omes..etc) around 3x3x2 ft. ??? just a thought Quote
