so shiney and so pretty. I'm really excited to get these and get back started on my helmet. Thanks Mike!

cool, good to know. How can you tell?
-
very cool. Thanks for the update

sorry, I haven't been able to do much while waiting for 4510's awesome decals so I've been working on other non-TK stuff. Once they get here I'll stick them on and replace the brow trim. The it will be aesthetically complete and I'll be able to move onto the inside

I'm NOT an English grammar geek (really), and this may seem arcane, but I really cannot stand it when people use the word "impact" as a verb.
"Impact" is a noun.
Recently, dictionaries have started to include it as a verb (sigh), but many editing and style guides still cringe over this incorrect useage.
That, subject verb disagreement ("there's 15 ducks on the pond"), and using adjectives instead of adverbs.

any new info?

Oy! Welcome, Alexis; I'm the same Apollo from mercs. This is a really helpful site and I'm sure you'll be pounding out some nice whitearmor sooner than you think. Good luck!

Got all of the handpainted stuff done, the hovi's installed, and the lenses are in. All it needs now are the decals, then I can put the brow trim back on, and then mesh behind the frown.

I actually think PMS 8201 works best for the tears and traps, but I'm definitely willing to go with the majority on this

I didn't actually strip the paint. I basically stripped everything else: lenses, cooling system, brow trim, frown mesh, aerators, etc. I ended up just painting over the previously handpainted detailing in the tears, traps, chin, ears, and frown, and now I'll have to just repaint some of those and add decals for the rest.
I don't actually know the maker since I got it second hand.

helmet looks pretty much the same. I had it finished before, but I decided to redo it so I stripped it and repainted white and all. Right now it's just got aerators, from and bottom neck trim in. I'll be jumping on a source for ESB decals soon, I need a rounded brush for the frown (thanks for the tip from your tutorial, 4510), I'll need new lenses, and I need to paint the ears to complete the outside. I'm working on a couple other things at the same time so this baby hasn't been getting all the attention that it deserves.

got the buttons today. Thanks!

Excellent. not to be too picky, but you will need some brow trim, lenses, pain on the chin, mic tips,..............
I knew there was something I forgot!

Cool, good to see all those reference pics! This is what I was using for reference
-
I can stick up a brighter one tomorrow if need be. I just don't want to go any farther with the helmet if this is wrong

Is this frown good for ESB Elite?
-
Just got mine today and they're terrific. Way better than what I had been using. Thanks a ton, Tony!

are there any preassembled sets with no speakers left? If there are I'd like to get on the list too

I'll send payment asap

such a cool idea

do you foresee this incredibly kind gesture ever falling out of practice? I only ask because I know I've got a long road ahead of me for elite status
-
yea I only watch the theatrical versions myself. My jaw dropped the first time I saw Hayden Christiansen standing there with his goofy sheepish grin

Just got Mike's stickers in today and they're fantastic. I loved how sticky they actually were because they were very secure, but easy enough to pull up to readjust if needed. My only problem was that they were sometimes too larger. My left tubestripe was too big and so was my left tear. Nevertheless, they look fantastic on the helmet and I'm very glad to have gotten them.
