I have used nylon and E-6000 to make all connections on my armor, including AM (thicker ABS ) and Anovos (thinner ABS) and never had any sort of bulge issues.  When gluing them on I never add any to the center under the snaps themselves, only the outer edges.

I have seen some bulge issues on Troopers where the snaps were attached to ABS plates and CA glue was used to attach directly to the armor.  As everyone knows, CA will get pretty hot while curing, especially when using an accelerant.

    Justjoseph63 nylon?

Well good question, I do have both, good and bad points with either or them but it depends on what event I am going to as to which set I wear.

I find the fabric gaskets are a lot cooler and easier to move but they really don't fill the armor gaps as the rubber ones do.

Rubber does fill the armor gaps well but cuts down on your movement and makes you sweat more, they do look so much better though.

The public doesn't notice the difference but I do, so for a cannon or high profile troop I will wear rubber and then the fabric for most other troops.

If you can afford it, I'd suggest both.

Great info. Can you point me in the direction of whom you ordered for both? Thanks

  3. Skullworx kit is a electronics kit with fans, mic & speakers all in one kit. Its not as good as the Bomar kit that TK-4205 is creating which I plan to get one of those Bomars for my TE Hero helmet when I get it.

The Skullworx kit is good. The only thing I changed is I replaced the speaker mic tips with the set of Hovi-Mix with speakers that I got from Stomper.

    Curtis :D

Thanks Curtis.. I too am curiously awaiting the Bomar..enjoy ur thread...jaime
