  1. Nice! I did the whole mesh thing for my hovi too however I might need to go more silver on mine. Though the length of it I didn't like so I made my opening a little tad bigger and basically pushed it back a bit while cutting the excess to give a bit of air to flow through. Oh and E6000 the crud out of the sides probably will not fall off lol

Oh and question are you making a holster for that e-11? i was wondering if it may be too large to hang from the belt =/ not sure what to do

  2. i dont have too much of an expert eye on everything...but from the looks of it the ear cap seems to be connected and the back line of the helmet seems soft to probably suggest its a recast...that and the painted on brow bugs me

so IMO save your money and go for the sells/trades here in the forums

  3. yeah i would just say very big helpers lol in a suit and my small stature...i cant see whats below me...cant sit...or pick up things...so my friends usually do that for me...i just stand there and look good for the kiddies which like stated above beware of light saber wielding kids

  4. lol it got me really curious on how every thing looked in 1984...so glorious internet browsing time...i gotta say some costuming were alot of awesome bunch!...

    anyways I stumbled upon

Image removed as link not recoverable.

    is that the one?

found it here if anyone is interested too lol: http://www.costume.org/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=71262&g2_page=7

  5. i'm 5'5" 170lb and I am basically trimming a heck of a lot of things to fit me on my FX (which FX suited me on thigh area)

    ------

I took about an inch off the formarms...I need to cut away the chest piece so i can have little more gap between it and the belt from hitting eachother all the time...can see how close they are in the picture

atm i am cutting about an inch or so off the thighs length and the shins bottom so it can fit better

...besides i've grown use to that saying of being a short stormtrooper but i make it up for being uniquely being all black =D lol

  6. well I would say you still got a lot of room to grow because the armor cost to refit it would probably be a lot since most of the armor would have to be trim down to size so it would be irreversible at that point. As far as I know joining the legion you must be 18 of age but joining the FISD you are already here lol and welcomes.

what I would do is probably contact your local Garrison and or study up here in the forums before getting an armor set. It took me about a year to look through what I wanted and finding out contacts. Which also took me half a year to find some replacement parts lol. So time probably be your worst enemy at this point but with all great things...it always takes time to do

  7. You should check out the Special Ops forums too for TX reference and links n stuff

I got it off the bay for about 15$ Its a flat lenses that can be curved a bit hehe I will be getting this for my shadow trooper soon now that i know it worked for me shadow scout. Vision out of it is like wearing sunglasses

  8. that is great to hear everything going well for ya!

When I first read the thread I was thinking someone was going to get major bad karma for it but as the laws of balance works there major good karma has found its way to you and I am glad of that.

May you get back on your trooping feet soon...and send lots and lots of pictures of the armor =D you know we would like to see it

  9. yeah i have an MR CE helmet and the balaclava pretty much takes the whole frown are (mouth area of mine) and since my mic is under it nothing shows but black cloth really

and yes I am comfortable with it...since my ninja cosplay days

    -----------

  10. You may get slightly more flow without mesh, (very minor, I didn't notice a difference as mine is removable) but that balaclava is going to reduce the airflow even more compared to mesh / no balaclava because its covering your mouth or mouth and nose.

Personally, I find that wearing balaclavas inside helmets and costumes is more uncomfortable than without. I find there's more fogging which could be an issue with lenses.

well reason for why i do wear a balaclava is cause of my long hair and I have a mesh on my helmet. I have it covering my mouth and nose due to keeping my mic in place (cause I dont want to attach it to the helmet) lol and I do have a powerful squarrl fan so fogging up was never a problem

just likely want to know if it is an option or not to not have it on when wearing a balaclava

  11. =) that is awesome! I mean as far as it is that the FISD been helping communities around the world ya have more of a + in having something to give back more then what was taken away. FISD has proven to be an extensive network of build do and dont do guide if ya search for it, heck before i knew of this place I never knew of the different types and so forth and slowly I got to gain the eyes needed to see whats what and where to get it.

there is a sales/trade area is a good place to see members selling off their own armor but the only problem with buying a used armor is fitting it to you so its rather luck based.

    Though props to you ^_^

  12. Yikes, I didn't know it was recast...and it wasn't exactly cheap either! I hope you guys don't hold it against me, but more importantly, I hope it's not a piece of garbage!

it happens but like Heatshot says we dont go against individuals. =) just sometimes a mass amount of research is needed i know burried in the forum somewhere there was a discussion about that dude (mainly for the bad bad photoshop images)

but how does the saying goes....live and learn XD I have done my share of mistakes so now i need to find a TX kit...much harder for legs to replace on mine
