  1. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing the information about the boots!
  2. Greetings, thanks for sharing your thread. A question regarding your boots - how did you find the process of changing them to white? Any problems of issues you wish to share, or something you would do differently? I'm having a tough time finding proper white boots and may just get a black pair to strip and paint. Thank you, and congratulations!
  3. You certainly went above and beyond with the info provided, thank you. I'll figure out photos as I'm really enjoying navigating this site. Thank you.
  4. Greetings! I'm starting to work on the calf/shins for my ANH Stunt TK and I'm running into some issues perhaps someone can assist with. At the front, there's a nice flat section where the pieces come together and a cover strip can easily be attached. However, the rear pieces are more rounded off and they don't exactly come together in a defined way. The armour is from a reputable manufacturer, so that's not the issue. I've seen some approved TK sets with a well defined 'flat' piece at the back where the calves easily come together, and many TK units where they're more rounded. Because it's not a very clean edge, I feel like I may have to go with the elastic straps and hooks, even though I'd prefer velcro. Anyone else have this issue and come up with an acceptable way to close up the back, and perhaps wish they did things differently? Thanks for the assistance, these forums are great.
  5. Thank you, @gmrhodes13!
  6. Many thanks. I've attended numerous events over the years and we have possibly met in the past. Thank you for taking the time to respond and for assisting myself and others. I'm looking forward to the process.
  7. Greetings! I took the first step and ordered my ANH TK armour with Dan Laws helmet from Imperial Surplus. I expect it next week and then the real fun begins. I've been collecting since as far back as I can remember, used to be part off the Star Wars Fan Club and subscribed to Bantha Tracks magazine, for those of us old enough to remember. Just looking to connect with others, similar interests, and hopefully join the 501st Legion. Charity and giving back to community is important to me and now that I have more time, I'm hoping I can combine both passions and have fun with it. Perhaps there's others who can share tips and even show photos of the collection from time to time. Have a great day, everyone!
