I I'm wondering if there's a reference somewhere in this forum that can help me install the so-called "Han Snap." So far, I've found out that the hardware is an inverted "male snap" and that it's located on the right side in the upper corner of the abdomen plate. I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!

My Pre Approval Thread:

Hello from Germany, I started this project in November 2025 using a pre-loved MFX armor kit that was in rather poor condition. Several parts had to be repaired and reworked before final assembly. The original helmet was replaced with an RS Propmasters Stormtrooper Stunt Helmet (kit), which was built to match the armor as closely as possible. As I am a slim trooper, extensive resizing and fitting was required to achieve proper proportions and a clean overall look while staying within the CRL requirements. The armor build is now complete and fully wearable. With this thread, I am asking for a pre-approval to confirm that everything is on the right track before submitting for official approval. My goal is basic approval. Any feedback or suggestions for improvement are very welcome. Thank you for your time and support. Test fittet my new boots. I found this background is a perfect choice for making good pictures. Thank you all for your support so far. Next up will be my pre approval thread. The picture below shows the pre loved armor when I started my ANH Stunt project. Most of the parts where glued together with hot glue, which is not to bad, because I was able to correct the missalignment more easy. I decided to go with my RS-Propmasters (kit) helmet, instead of the one that cam with this one in a very sorry state (MFX helmet). I was able to refurbish the MFX helmet, but the RS has a better fit.

Finally got my Boots and will start a pre-approval thread soon. The boots are leatherboots (black) for around 37 Euro (Sale Price). Left: My first try (to wide at the top) right side the new one (smaler).

I am wondering if the tip of the black boots are okay for TK-boots (then of course in white). They are slightly smaler than the white ones. What do you think?

reworked shoulders and torso...

Happy New Year to all Troopers. I am back in the game, but still adjusting the strapping and trimming. This is the 10th time I test fitted the armor since I have started the build. I followed the tips from gmrhodes13 and was able to improve the fit of my armor. The trick with the thicker socks helps to reduce the wrinkles on the boots a bit, but I'm still waiting for new ones, though; let's see if they fit better. The backside will follow in afew days with more improvements.

Jim, I understand your point. Shipping from England to Germany isn't a problem, of course. But the customs and shipping fees are very high, and it would take quite a while for the shoes to arrive. Furthermore, from my perspective, dyeing the shoes isn't necessarily a disadvantage, since that's exactly what was done in the OT. Thank you anyway for your opinion. I haven't decided yet how I'm ultimately going to do it.

I will give this one a try. They come from a maker / brand named ZIGN (80 Euros). They are very high and also smal in the area where the shins will touch them. They are made of leather. I will post pictures when they arrive.

Your experience with the boots from amazon is very interesting to me. There are so many different models, and maybe one of them will fit, but which one? Now I have a much better understanding of what to look for before buying. Maybe I'll buy new ones too and use the old ones as a backup.

Hi Jim, thank you very much for your kind words about my costume and environment. 1. My wife took the pictures, but a fellow trooper of mine (TK) is living just around the corner. He is very busy most of the time, but he def. will take the pics for my approval 2. The shoes are black chelsea boots from amazon, painted white, I will give the trick with the socks a try, thank you for that.

Thank you for the advice. Can you provide a pic of of your shoulder bridge pls? I do not understand what this means: "although a bugger to get the elastic over the strap at the start."

Yes, the front is glued on the armor, but I put a piece of ABS under the shoulderbridge to make this connection more durable.

I had still issues with my shoulder bridges. The rubber straps will not stay in place. See picture from behind. The right shin isn't closed very nicely at the back. Detonator caps are 25mm not 20mm The creases at the bottom of the boots don't look very nice either. My goal is still a basic approvement. Working on it...
