So this picture shows for me that the main belt has the same colour as the panels and the borders are definitely brighter
And this picture from the Premier collection statue shows the back of the kama. Not sure how accurate this is, but it shows how it could be. Left side over right side

because on some pictures it looks like the borders are way brighter and the main belt has the same colour as the panels:
on others it seems like the borders and main belt are brighter together:

One thing regarding the over skirt: Is the main belt supposed to be a brighter red than all other parts? To match the trim border of all panels.

So, the armor now has gold leaf. Last time clearcoat, then done.
Helmet is also in printing, will be gold leafed too.

So i cutted the upper sides of the abs plate, they are now not visible anymore.
Anyways, i have a new plan for some parts:
1) new helmet: im not really happy with the shape and some details, so a friend is now printing a new one, a cooler one
2) i will make gold leaf over all gold parts, it just looks cooler than regular gold colour. And with a new helmet i have to do this anyways

So, all hard parts except the abs plate are done, weathered and clear coated

also, the hot toy figures blaster has also a golden detail under the middle ring, that part is also black in some renders

One thing:
CRL for the blaster mentions a white grip. Isnt it golden aswell?

Softparts are currently under re-do at a friends house:
-Kama will be remade CRL-accurate, including all panels, belt and holster
-fleece of the inside of the gloves will be removed
-neckseal will get black cloth around, since its too short
And i need to make the grip if the blaster accurate, with horizontal lines. And paint it.

One thing, to me it looks like the border of the 3 front parts and the side panels has a more brighter red than the border of the rear parts. Rear parts border looks like the border is made out of the fabric itself

Looks good to me. At our current status as we dont have any specific more informations for the skirt would go with that what you have written. Can be updated when we have more infos

I don't agree on a third panel though. On the shot from the rear left above, you can see the fabric is folded at the top, and then opens up towards the bottom. Actually it's easier to see if you crank the exposure even further, though this is the limit of any detail.
In some images that line is a really solid line and well defined, like the one you have posted. In others like above, it's much softer. I wonder if this just come down to how much use the costume had at any one scene and a clean pressed line slowly falling out with use.
Would agree with 2 panels. The question is just, how are these connected, overlap or a different method

Thats the front. You can see the front point I mentioned, with a border to give it a clean finished appearance. Looking now with it fresh what I notice is I can see the thigh armour. If it was a full wrap of skirt you wouldn't be able to. And I think I can just make out the ribbing in the under suit so it's not caught behind.
As for the rear
I've tried to highlight the edge in red, and the pleats in blue. I cannot see a split that would indicate an overlap. What I can see is one continuous edge, where the pleats have come open at the bottom edge.
It also all stops at the hip, so not a skirt. Seems I was seeing things that where not there last night.
This would mean we end up at something like this:
- Rear half skirt, hip to hip, 2 pleats to form a centre panel in the back. Ends mid knee. Width of that section is 50-55%% of the width of the raised section on the back plate.
- Front tabard with a pointed tip, measured at 110º, ends mid thigh. Trim in matching fabric to the body of the tabard.
- 2 leather "flags" with red trim. That red trim is brighter that the rear half skirt.
- 2 hip pads with vertical diamond quilting , same red trim as the front flags. Could be leather like the front, could also be the same material as the half skirt. The promo image makes it look like it could even be a 3rd material as the colour and how reflective it is doesn't match the leather its next to, the trim around it or the tabard material next to it. I don't think thats down to lighting.
I would say the half skirt and the tabard are the same material.
To me its not a full rear skirt.

It shows clear that both panels are seperate, and that the left panel is abouve the right
Second pics shows for me that it really could be an extra panel above the two big rear panels. There is a clear line where the arrows are

The first image to me shows clearly that section is not separate. And looking again today I think it also shows that the bottom edge continues past the end of the right “edge” which to me says pleat, which when combined with the front view, sorry forgot to post that last night and my wife is on the computer, which shows the same fabric around the front.
At this point in am convinced the bottom layer is a full skirt, with the rear detail formed by 2 pleats. Then the rest is all layered over this.
So you say its pleated above and is not an extra piece at the rear?

That image looks confirm that there is a pleat at least on the left side, creating a sort of raised panel. You can see the bottom edge is continuous. Still can't see the right side clearly, but IMO looking at the next image, both sides appear to match which would imply a second pleat rather than 2 panels over lapping. To have a pleat on one side and then an overlap on the other feels like a strange aesthetic choice.
Gloves, they are just leather gloves. Not R1 style. See this promo image
There is no padding, or the detail on the index finger.
When i started my kama reseach, i thought it is a third panel too.SInce it appears to be very floaty in the show. Looking at the second picture, i could be a panel layed on top of the two big ones, with border on both sides (border in the same color as the panel itself).
Is it possible to get a direction this regarding soon? Since my friend who makes the kama for me is nearly this point

So, a bunch of photos:
First, the blaster. Definitely bigger than i thought^^
Second, the chest and backplate, assembled with tape
Third, me holding the chest as a size reference, yes i need to adjust the abs-plate
Then my figurine with the helm, chest/back and the abs-plate
There is some evidence in the show, that the top of his abs-plate is visible under the chest/back. If not allowed, i have to cut the abs-plate

I think the first pic shows that there is a clearly evidence of like bias tape, that is only in the right edge, but not on the left.
So it looks to me like the right big part is under the left, and the left is folded abouve the right and is attached to it, forming the line on the left edge.For the border of all panels:
The front and the hips seem to have a classical red border (like bias tape).
But for the big 2 panels, it looks like their border is in the same colour as the fabric itself
I also checked some references from the figure (and pic 3), but im unclear:
For me, the waist band and the front parts are out of leather, while the hips and the 2 back panels are out of fabric.
But this is only visible from the figure, not from the show, so i may be wrong about this.Additional point: to me the shoulder bells seem to be way shorter than regular TK shoulders

If the gloves are the same as the rouge one, should there be decorative stiching at the index finger for like Level 2 or 3?
Also the hand grips of the blaster seems to be gold as well.

Thanks for that. Since i painted already everything gold and my last time working with gold leaf ended in a catastrophe (my whole room was golden)

So i heard some use gold leaf to make the gold areas.
Will that be necessary or is "normal" gold color like mine fine too? Since my gold color matches the gold of the show
Edit: i saw in the CRL creation thread that gold leaf for the cracks is just for Lvl 3 certification?

Finished my new Enoch helmet last night
And here are both in comparison, new left, old right
