Looking good, the sides on an angle can happen, once you get shims and strapping added it should reduce this, sometimes some foam behind the backplate and abdomen at the top can help straighten the sides, or a locking tab system to stop them overlapping once fully closed.

    Coming along nicely :D

Glen, looks like you and I are on the same page. I had also mentioned this to her as well. :) May I say that is an excellent suggestion!

There was designing that had been done already. And there were some things that altered my last year.
I’ll chat with detachment staff and see where we are at before discussing anything just yet.

Any word on the design that was already done? I'm looking forward to seeing it!

  3. So I can definitely go that route for the Recon Fatal look. Would any of you ladies be interested as being a model for one? Do you have any pictures of yourself in kit with your helmet off? I could use it as reference for the images. And like Recon Fatale we could have multiple patches. For instance, we also have the OT and the FOT.  Getting one of each would be good. I know I have a pose, but it's not the pin-up style. More like the propaganda posters for the Empire. I plan on using it to make a poster type thing for promoting females joining the FISD.

So if you would like to, please pm me a photo or send me a link to a photo that you have up on one of the photo sites, like Imgur or Photobucket.

  4. Hey, so I was wondering if we might want to come up with an Insignia for Vaders Valkyries? I think promoting that we are women of the FISD is a great idea. I didn’t know if anyone had already come up with ideas? I was thinking about putting together a few ideas and posting them here. But I also don’t know the ropes and I was curious if anyone else felt like this could be a good thing. I’d be happy to take it on as a project. I’m very proud to be a FISD member and especially being a female in a mostly male department of the 501st.

    Thought? Ladies?

Thank you Chemi! I just saw Barry's submission and see that we both have the same armor maker (Dave's Darkside Depot-formerly AM). Barry did the trimming of the button piece on the abdomen and it looks fine even without the "notch." So, I just clipped mine, too. New photos have been put in the original post.

    Have a great day,

    Mike

Yeah, it was suggested to me as well, hence the trimming. :) Your build looks great! Best of luck Trooper!

I was hoping we’d see your submission in the near future! Let’s go!

And by the way, you now qualify for the EI rocker patches that we are mid-run on! And Centurion soon, no doubt!

One of the many reasons to get this out of the ballpark. I really wanted to order both the EI and Centurion before the run is closed. My local TK's gave me my first FISD patch the other day. I'm so excited to order them and get my certificates! :D  And my first troop in my Garrison as a TK will be at Centurion level. ;)

Thank you everyone again for your help in getting me to this point. It is definitely appreciated! :duim:

  8. I am going to be using the hearing assist, so I will make sure all the holes have no white showing through.  Already hit up the edge that was mentioned for the forearm. I'll hit up the button plate, detonator and the blaster asap and get photos in (hopefully tomorrow). :D Thank you again! Great to be on the right track. One more milestone and I'll be up there with the Centurions! WOO HOO!

And here's to all of you for a Happy New Years! My TK dreaming of what the New Year will bring! :D

Hi Barry, thank you for your EIB application.:jc_doublethumbup: . Added to process line:dancing-trooper:

This Christmas holidays, we are all "busier" with "family reunions", so we know you can understand that it may take us a little longer than usual to process this request:blush:

    Thanks for your patience.:salute:

I get it and I'm just happy to be in the process line! I made it this far. That's a pretty rockin Christmas gift to myself! :D I hope everyone has a fantastic time with their friends and family. I know I am. Merry Christmas!

    Nice work.

I noticed you are missing the cocking lever, a quick replacement is a thick plastic paint brush, cut to desired length, heat with lighter or stove to give a slight curve, add a screw in the base, cut off head of screw, drill hole in broken lever then screw in cocking lever, you can also add some glue for extra strength.

    Good luck with approval

I went ahead and made the change and updated my photos. Thanks again for the sharp eye!
