  1. Update: Yesterday was Big Brown Box day! I'm waiting on a couple additional pieces to arrive (neck seal and boots) and then I'll get some pictures posted. I put it on and the suit fit pretty well, so I'm relieved and very happy with the way it looks. Even my wife was impressed and said that she's officially accepted that she's married to a Stromtrooper. The last item that I have left is to decide on where I get my E-11 blaster from and how detailed I want it. I'm researching all the links that are suggested on the site here...it's been a great resource! Troopacoola commissions some really nice E-11's, so I'm considering going with him. I was hoping to have a blaster before May 4th when I go to a local Star Wars Day gathering, but I'd rather make sure I get the right one. Overall, it was an exciting day yesterday and I'm looking forward to pulling together everything so I can work on a 501st approval!
  2. Thanks! My kit was shipped today and I'm assuming I'll have it some time next week.
  3. Thank you! Yes, I am very much looking forward to BBB day. As a matter of fact, I received tracking today and it's on the way from the UK! I'll be sure to get photos when it arrives. I remember seeing posts about BBB day, so I'll dig them up and see how people generally posted the pic's.
  4. Thank you for the thread link...much appreciated! I scanned through the links and I'll be hitting a bunch of them. Lol. I'll be sure to post some BBB photos when it arrives. Can't wait!
  5. Just wanted to introduce myself...I've been stalking/researching on FISD for months. I've always wanted to have my own TK armor and have recently ordered an ANH Stunt custom build from Troopermaster (TK Props) in the UK. Looks like the build is almost done and it should be shipped this week! It comes with the full armor, helmet, belt, holster, gloves and thermal detonator. It would be fun to learn to build my own armor kit, but between my job in engineering and a real estate business (and maintaining a patient/tolerant/happy wife ), there just isn't time to take on a long term build. I ordered boots this week, but am currently researching manufacturers for the E-11 blaster, neck seal and audio/fan helmet kits. There's so many options with helmet audio kits and fans! My ultimate goal will be to get my armor approved and join my local 501st, the Great Lakes Garrison (Michigan). I'll also be attending ICCC this year in Nashville in May and would love to wear my armor if I can get it completed and approved prior to. Thanks for taking a minute to read my introduction and I look forward to learning more from FISD...I've already learned so much on here!
