  1. Welcome aboard! :trooper:

You'll have to send a link to your Star Wars toy photos! I used to do the same at my dads house where we keep the "Star Wars Room," but I haven't had the chance to take photos in a while because of school, work, and most recently moving to California.

Speaking of, I start working at Disneyland later this month, so if you're ever around, feel free to say hello!

Thanks for letting me know! Couldn’t upload using the website (kept giving an error on the filesize) but with the app it seems to work :-)

Exciting that you have a delivery date for your armor! My Anovos armor was gifted to me, but I found out later that the delivery was delayed by 1 year and 7 months! Luckily you won't have to wait so long, but I'm sure the anticipation is still high!

I'm sure you have the hang of it now, but if you're working on a computer, I found these to be helpful:

  3. Welcome!

I'm fairly new to this whole thing as well. I tend to thrive on connections, whether they're made in person or via digital resources. At the moment, I am just making minor adjustment to my armor and looking for opportunities to meet others I may not have the opportunity to meet otherwise, thanks to this forum.

I may not be the most knowledgeable, but I'm here to just chat when needed!

    Good to meet you! :salute:

That is always great to hear, Marek.  Helping Troopers (or future Troopers) is what we do best!

One thing I always like to suggest is that those who have learned from this site is to "pay it forward" and stay as active as you can here to help those with questions.  You don't need to be an armor expert (although you are fast becoming one), and often it's a matter of just sharing your thoughts or experience on a subject or even if it's just to say "Hello and welcome to the FISD" to a first-time poster.  That can mean a lot to someone venturing into this realm for the first time.

Absolutely! The energetic and warm welcome was the first thing I noticed when I arrived!

  5. Hello! I got my TKID last week, and I could not have done it without the help of my brother, dad, and AJ of the Cloud City Garrison. I'm also now receiving lots of help/advice from Joseph, so thank you to him as well!

Also, I posted a topic in the new members area (even though I'm a month-old member) because it seemed like a good place for a general intro! Looking forward to serving with you all!

  6. Hello everyone, my name is Marek! I've been a trooper on this platform for about a week now and a member for about a month, but I figured I'd introduce myself anyway. I'm currently stationed in Oregon with the Cloud City Garrison. I'm 20 years old and having ANH TK armor has been a dream of mine for about five years now. I received the armor as a gift from my dad in the best way possible: unboxing the suit whilst surrounded by 501st members. The suit is my first costume/armor ever, and I plan to work towards the Centurion requirements here in the next week or two! I'm here because I want to others in the public (perhaps the younger generations, most of all) to experience the same level of excitement and wonder that I felt when I first came face to face with a trooper nearly 16 years ago.

A couple of other quick things about me: I am currently working on a motion control rig (like the one used in The Mandalorian) because I am interested in pursuing a career in film and television.  Additionally, although I haven't gone practiced it in a while, I like to spend time doing Star Wars toy photography!

The experience I've had on here has been nothing but positive. It's an honor to be part of this group of amazing people!
