I’ve been keen on building some TK armour for a long time but have had to put the idea on the back burner due to life stuffs. However now I’m in a position to be able to look at building my first set of armour!
The goal is to get 501st approval and the kit I’m hoping to order a set of the R1TK from 850Armorworks, but in the meantime I’ve been doing my research here.
I have a few questions with regards to building armour:
-my background with plastics and working with plastics is very limited, I also only have limited skills with power tools as well, do you think that this would be an issue?
-850AW offers their kits either precut or left for you to cut, which one would be better for a beginner?
While I was in lockdown I purchased a 3D printed TK helmet that I painted up in a sort of cross between a Mimban Trooper and a ANH stunt helmet. I don’t think it would ever be able to be approved for the 501st but I did it more as a proof of concept that I could paint a helmet. Tell me what you think
