You can try adding some pieces of foam if you have space. This can help stop rotating parts like shins and thighs, also easy to add and remove no mods to the amour required.

I noticed a few posts back that another member asked about the hand guards. Yous helmet has a black frown which indicates ESB so you are wearing the correct (clam shell style) hand plates for that helmet :)

The trapezoidal shape plates  match the Hero and Stunt ANH versions not the ESB, hope that makes sense.

Makes so much cents its $1.20
Id rather match the helmet than work to match the gloves, i will go through the CRL again to make sure its up to date. the next hurdle will be getting bigger boots as the ones i originally ordered are a bit too small

  2. Time for an update, after managing to get the armour into work for may the 4th and with my wedding less than 2 months out i have had a chance to look at my armour (finally) I'll be picking up some compression gear this week and will test fit pieces. I am wondering how best to trim or fit to my shape? have messaged my local garrison on fb but haven't received a reply as yet. There are some pieces that I feel are a bit too big and mainly the arm and legs pieces are restricting movement. Lastly i am looking at ways to keep the thigh pieces in place, they have elastic straps at the front I'm wondering if these should be attached to anything in particular.

  3. Seems im in need of a new under suit as mine has ripped will look into options but any recommendations would be appreciated. I have a bit of trimming to do and need to sort a way of getting the thigh pieces to stay up but getting closer to submitting for approval, then i can focus on some more 3d printing of blasters.

So mine was a kit from Dave and it came with both of these hand guards. The top is for anh, so if you have those with yours that’s what you’ll go for. If not then I’d also suggest maybe getting some flexible ones as they are really nice.

It came with the rubber guards you have pictured just need to look at what gloves to use.

Also just in case you didn’t already know here’s some notes on the armor pieces based on your photo so you know what goes where and fitting.

Feel free to ask any questions if you are having any about the fitting of your armor. Looking good!

Yeah cos of the fitment I had to get my partner to help me put it on and the pieces for the legs are not correct. The snaps for the belt were not playing well and the boots being 2 sizes too small meant I had lost patience lol. But thanks for the tips ;) it's a starting point just need to stay focused and not start a mando or 3d print an r2 d2 till this is done.

Hey Piers, I am andy the CO of the Southern Cross Garrison which appears to be your home garrison based on the details in the forum post
Best bet is to throw up some images here or on the SCG forums (recruitment section is here https://www.501scg.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=23_) so we can help work out what is needed next....

Out of the box approvals are very rare and a lot of the time small fixes are needed so we can help you with those as well :D

Very exciting to see what you have mate!!!

Thanks I have updated my intro thread as well. I'm keen to get some photos uploaded to get ready for approval.

  7. Hi everyone, my names piers just starting out on my journey to eventually joining the 501st. I have joined up to my local garrison here in Australia and have been doing a bunch of research which has led to a rabbit hole of information. My aim is to have ROTJ armour still trying to work out what would work for me 6" and 110kg . Is there a strict procedure in contacting a builder? i have one in mind but they are based in the US so any advice would be appreciated.
