  1. Phew. Ok that makes me feel much better. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for letting me know. I could see this being a frustrating experience to modify and potentially damage the armour. It did come apart however when i tried to walk in it for a bit so took it apart and tried again last night. Hopefully stays this time.
  3. Ammo pack installed. After walking around for a bit, I think I am going to need to trip the top of the thighs. I tried walking up stairs with just the thighs on and it was a challenge.
  4. Thanks. I wouldn't be as concerned except for the left side where it dropped a little bit. Might give it one more go before applying heat.
  5. Looks like it may have shifted a little through the night. Not sure tearing it apart and trying again will get any better unless I reshape the piece. Thoughts?
  6. So on to the item I was going to leave until last. I clamped it all together and took some pics for advice. As you can see it is not centered but lines up correctly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I did. Thanks for the info.
  8. Had to travel out of province for friends wedding so progress was stopped for a bit. Back at it now. Shoulder bridges glued. Tied elastic and clamped in the back to help keep them in line. Hopefully won't move and that I used enough glue.
  9. Ok awesome. Thanks for the info. Time to go on the hunt! Appreciate it
  10. Hi guys, Any recommendations on the size of the slotted pan head screws for the TD to meet Centurion requirements? The ones supplied with the kit are rounded. Going to try to possibly complete my TD today. For something I thought was going to be easy, this TD is beginning to be a real pain. I am just glad i found another AP build who ran into other issues with it and had to redo a bunch of work before i went down the same path. Thanks in advance.
  11. Shins trimmed. Don't think i'm going to touch the tops of the thighs. The pick above I really needed to bring the thighs up high. Not so much in this one. I'm tempted to take a little more off the shins but a bit hesitant. Thoughts?
  12. I am seeing some posts of people using a heat sealing iron when they modify the thighs. I am thinking on picking one up and recreating the return edge on the tops of the thighs and bottoms of the shins. Has anyone had any success using one?
  13. Thanks for the feedback. I am more inclined to trimming the bottoms of the shins and possibly tops of the thighs so it is less noticeable. When I am walking the front of the shins are catching on the thighs so the addition of the sniper knee will probably add to that. I should probably add the knee and ammo pack first and then make the decision. Pains me to do so but I won't be able to walk the way this sit right now. Just a bit nervous to get it back to looking the way it is. Shins have a nice curve at the bottom.
  14. I was going to try to tackle the sniper knee and after reading all the horror stories again, I remembered why I said to myself lets leave that to last.....
  15. Just arrived with my dark green lenses :).
  16. The moment you realize you forgot to double up when making the snap.....
  17. Pulled things up a little bit and made adjustments to the thigh belt which helped quite a bit. Belt popped off snap so thats the reason it looks a bit crooked. Still not able to walk without feeling like a robot however due to my height. Suggestions on where to trim?
  18. Correct. Should pull everything up in theory.
  19. It might be possible to lift it a bit. The brackets have them sitting in the current position with not much room. Could try resizing the elastic to see if i can get it pulled higher. It is very hard to walk in at the moment. I don't have my thighs looped into the belt as of yet though so that will help once that's finished but I thinking trimming is going to be a must as it feels very robotic to walk at the moment. Thanks of the feedback guys.
  20. Back: Still need to make snaps to connect butt plate
  21. Test suit-up. Still lots of small things besides hand guards, shoulder bridges, helmet lenses, strim and padding, sniper knee, ammo pack and neck seal. Feedback appreciated on what I have so far. Front:
  22. Ready to glue once everything else dries
