  1. I got the field pack, although I'm told I'll have to tweak it a little if I want to advance in rank over on mepd. I opted for both blasters and I'm also getting two pauldrons: orange and also black/white.
  2. They just emailed me directions for measurements. They confirmed approximately 8 weeks. I've ordered an extra pauldron in the white/black combo.
  3. Just to tie up loose ends: It works for me from home now too. Good to go!
  4. I know it's going to take a good bit of time, but does anyone know how long RS Propmasters full commissions take? Just trying to get expectations in my mind so I don't get impatient.
  5. Well this experience has made me realize what Hell is going to be like for me. It will be a nice beautiful home office with a massively powerful computer sitting in front of me. The computer won't freakin work on the internet and instead I'll have to spend eternity typing on a tiny smartphone screen to people.
  6. Thanks Daetrin! I knew it was orange. Why I typed red I have no idea! I think it's because I had a project manager blowing up my IM about food arrangements for a meeting. Thanks for the info though! I was thinking that having only 1 guy with the orange would be more appropriate if you are in a group doing an event. That way you have one squad leader. My next big thing is planning out my audio. My wife reported that there was a great looking Sandy she ran into locally, but she wasn't all that impressed with the audio. She could hear his regular voice more than the altered audio that was supposed to make him sound authentic. She's also really big on staying in character. She's making sure I get into the 'stay in character' mindset even if people ask me routine questions -- do it with an in-character mindset. She does acting around town as a hobby and is going to keep me on point on this aspect. lol
  7. That's great news! Possibly a problem on the IPS side with all their boards.
  8. I tried with Chrome and IE. Same result at home with Century Link. At work I'm connecting fine with Chrome. I'll try posting again from home after work. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Additional troubleshooting information for whoever is working on this problem: It's definitely a setting that messes up some ISPs. Here is how I know: 1. Tried to post at home on my CenturyLink connected desktop computer: can't post or reply. On new posts I get that syntax error someone else posted. On replies it just indicates a save but doesn't post. 2. Works on Tapatalk through my Verizon LTE connection 3. Works on my desktop computer at work, using the internet here in the office. So it is somehow related to communication between the site and my home ISP. Hope that helps! On a related note, it is SO MUCH NICER being able to type this message at work on a keyboard rather than with my fingers on Tapatalk.
  10. Edited. Replied to wrong thread. Disregard.
  11. Question: Do 501st approved armors have to be accurate to a specific trooper shown in the movie, or does the armor just generally have to be up to spec? Let me explain: If my local 501st already has a Sandtrooper with the red pauldron (squad leader), would it be acceptable for me to purchase an extra pauldron that is a sergeant or enlisted to swap out if we do an event together without having to change out some of the other armor pieces that might go along with those? The Sandtroopers' armor, from what I read, had different combos of shin and arm armors between the different ones that were shown in the film. They weren't all basically the same like normal troopers. Additional question: The Pauldrons that are available to purchase separately on the RS Propmaster's site are listed as Out of Stock. When they get back to me on my order for my measurements (for my full commission), can I ask them to bill me extra and send me two Pauldrons (one red one black or white) for this purpose?
  12. It's my only viable theory right now. I get some sort of syntax error trying to post a new thread. When replying to a thread it acts like it saves but doesn't post. I tried the following: 1. Rebooting router 2. Creating a new account completely. Same result 3. Tried from a different computer 4. Finally I switched over to Tapatalk on my LTE on me phone and I'm able to post from here. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. I was also looking at that brand and saw negative posts on the forum about it. That is what made me look at RS Propmasters and Troopermaster. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Guys... I fell in love with the RS Propmasters Sandtrooper and ordered a complete commission . It was a lot of money, but I'm excited! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. Thank God it worked. So I can post from work, but apparently somethi g happened with my ISP yesterday morning that prevents me from posting or reply at all. It's working from my phone on Tapatalk. I hate posting from my phone! [emoji34] Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  16. After 24 hours of posting and replying, I suddenly lost the ability to post. I'm hoping this is somehow due to my service provider as I get some strange syntax error when trying to post a new thread here in Tech Support I moved to Tapatalk via my phone to see if this works..... 17. So looking through the RS Propmaster's site, i'm suddenly enthralled by the Sandtrooper armor. Is this type of armor approved by the 501st?
  18. After looking at both, I'm leaning a little towards Troopermaster. I've sent him a message on facebook. Trying to figure out how to determine pricing, waiting list, etc.
  19. Looks like Troopermaster has a facebook page. They indeed look really good! It's harder to tell with the RS Prop Masters. What material is best? Looks like RS has ABS and PVC as options.....
  20. Hey guys, I've browsed through the beginner's section, but I do still have a question. It's probably answered there, but there's so much information it can be easily lost in the mix. I don't have a budget limitation really. Taking that in mind, which of these armor sets/makers are the most accurate/detailed? If I'm going to jump into this, I want to really jump into it.
