  4. Thigh and Shin project!!! Horrid I know Just waiting on bonding agent to settle and then applying the connecting strip to the shin armor. Once all that is completed I'll proceed to clean up the pieces, fill in holes and gaps smooth out edges and primer the pieces. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using Tapatalk
  5. Well final outcome on forearm armor, assembled, holes and gaps filled. Now primered and ready to go to the paint and body shop. Plz let me know how it looks for my first time ever doing a tk build and first time dealing with fiberglass. Thigh and shin armor are my next pieces Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using Tapatalk
  6. My progress so far just need for for the bonding agent to cure then fill in the holes with spotting Bondo and clean and smooth out the edges. Cut off all excces material, resand primer then off to the paint and body shop. But so far I think I'm getting the hang of things. After trial and error and alot of researching I've finally found the right combtion of supplies needed to progress and accomplish my task at hand!!!!. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using Tapatalk
  7. Well I purchased 2 completely different kits to make 2 different sets one was purchased thru here the other from EBAY [emoji44][emoji44][emoji32][emoji32][emoji36] I know I know. But I just needed some back up pieces to complete my previous armor which got damaged during Harvey. Well turns out that the armor which was posted as ABS turned out to be Fiberglass!!!!! Oh the cringe I KNOW, so here's my delima!!! I'm having the hugest problem trying to get it to bend to my will and it's becoming a 50/50 fight neither one of us is giving in. First of not only is this once again holding me back from building and submitting my application for the 501st but I have no idea how to work with fiberglass other than wearing a respirator and long sleeve shirt. I feel as if I'm butchering the armor, I've used 4 different types of glues and found one that works decent, but then there's the tension points I needed to hold the 2 together to make a bond but even with that being said I still have gaps which I can use BondoGlass as a filler. Also after many attempts on trying to bond the pieces I figured out that I needed to sand the bonding points free of paint down to bare fiberglass in order to make it hold. I would appreciate it if anyone would have any tips or build guide I could follow. I would really like to use this armor as my submission armor for the challenge I'm taking on. I have a person who's willing to paint and fill any gaps or holes I left behind at a paint and body shop. Below r my so fars Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using Tapatalk
  8. Doing a Fiberglass build instead, it's taking a lot of Mods and careful planning but it's coming together. Last picture is the final outcome after covering the holes I made for tension points for the epoxy to get a good hold with the Fiberglass. Im using BondoGlass for the filler re-sanding and then repainting using a enamel high gloss white paint. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using Tapatalk
  9. Gonna start off at the bottom and work my way up. I took on another challenge thou I bought a Fiberglass one and converting it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using Tapatalk
