thanks guys, to me DLT-19 and its variants are elegant weapons for a more uncivilized age

You can troop with any weapon you like, Gilbert. Although this is definitely a cool looking BFG, it was designed for Special Ops (Deathtrooper) and (in my opinion) would look way out of place with your HWT, especially if there is another HWT carrying a regular DLT-19.
FANTASTIC job on sanding/filling those print lines, and glad to see that you added the wire around the T-tracks, which is something a lot of folks don't do.
Thank you mate, I may use it while I finish my tactical scout trooper (non cannon) .

I know DLT 19D is not really a weapon for TK, but its special design really attracts me,
I got the file from CG Traders and printed out around half year ago, but the quality was very poor due to wrong setting,
as you can see the surface was very rough and ugly.
I was quite disappointing so just leave it at corner.
during my last sick leave at home (influenza A), I dig it out again and starting to do sanding, hope that I can make it usable.
luckily, after several rounds of sanding and few layers of primer / filler, the result was quite good.
forgive me that I am not using screen accurate scope, as this is the real scope I can find locally.
so the final question is, do I need to build a DT to troop with it? or just troop it with my HWT?
have a good weekend ahead.

changed new scratch built antenna and middle tube to make it looks better, antenna is removable.

Looks a LOT better, Gilbert! For basic approval, although it looks cool you can't have any attachments to the pack
As per the CRL for basic:
Backpack must be styled after and closely matches the backpack seen in the Battlefront series as seen in reference photos. No video monitors, extra greeblies. lights of any sort or attachments not seen in photos can be visible
This includes weapons and the antenna.
thanks mate, my HWT was approved in 2017 , but I will inform the new HWT applicant in our garrison
not to attach anything extra on the backpack while taking approval photo.

rebuilt my scratch build HWT pack,
- replaced all face plate with 3d printed parts, thanks to KM PROPS
- screw on 2 elastic straps at side of HWT pack so can carry extra short weapon when trooping
- later will update my antenna setting so it won't look like free-WIFI or digital TV signal sharing station.

Mate it's great just hoping you can get it spot on .

belt feed plate :
my first attempt was using a PVC sheet, but cannot simulate the "fold" look, so eventually I use epoxy putty and some "clay technique"
to make one, not perfect, but so far very happy about the outcome.

thank you sir,
you have sharp eyes, yes, the second pic and last pic are not the same one as last pic is the 5th DLT 19 I built with major correction:
size reduced to 99.1% to original model and enhanced the screw to make them detachable.
charging handle : afraid nothing can do at the moment as the hole on the body is fixed
belt feed plate : I am making a "fake" belt feed plate and will see how it goes with it, reverting.
will take a picture at left side asap

file bought from CG Trader, did some minor adjustment to have workable bipod
real scope is detachable
total weight about 2.3kg (with scope) / 2kg (without scope) so easy to carry for long trooping, hopefully can troop with it soon
print settings :
print speed : 7000mm / min
main blaster body / barrels : Perimeter : 3 / top&bottom solid layer : 3 / 15% infill / rectilinear infill
screw part setting : Perimeter : 7 / top&bottom solid layer : 3 / 20% infill (higher does not help) / full honeycomb infill
raft : yes

That's quite a collection, Gilbert, and great to see that there is an alternative to having to pay customs and shipping. I finished building my first attempt at a 3D printed DLT-19 recently, and I gotta say it was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. DANG it was a lot of sanding and filling, though!
Looks great ! I got a resin DLT19 but too heavy for me, will make a 3d printed version soon.

That’s my usual “go-to”. I just wanted to make sure there aren’t better ones nearby.
This is the one I used, so far very happy about it https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2274864
I purchased some files from CG Traders too, but some of them need to adjust its size before printing (I adjust my DLT 20 90% to its original file size)

this is my 3d printed blaster body with real scope, in R1 K2so's scope was installed opposite side,
below picture is sideshow K 2SO's blaster.
I keep its original position so I can use the scope (for what? maybe can see some hot girls I hope)

started to explore 3d printing half year ago, now changed to a higher end 3d printer, which I'm very happy about it ~
most important is that I don't need to worry about customs / shipping fee / tax anymore:
allow me to show off here :
1. SE 14R with real scope:
2. Merr-sonn Power 5 (conversion parts only)3. DH 174. DLT 20Aexploring to print out T 21B / DLT 19... etc, too many project ahead of me now.- 1

For the pack. I ended up using cardboard poster board and cutting my boxes to size and shape using a utility knife and T-square. then glueing them togeather like those paper dice we all made in school as a kid. For the seams I used spot putty and glazing powder to fill in gaps in the seams. I took me 2 backpack builds to get one I was happy with so do not worry about the small stuff. I am sure you will have it figured out in the end. Its good to see another person going HWT!
thanks for sharing,
most of my materials are from scratch, so size maybe a little off
material list:
base : Amazon Garage boss oil drilling pan
upper-left box : 1 dollar shop Cosmetic box
upper-left box greeblies : 1 dollar shop 3d sticker
middle cylinder : 1 dollar shop chopstick holder
upper-right box : unwanted Casio watch box
lower-left box : unwanted tool box
lower-left box greeblie : unwanted laptop rubber stand
middle-right box : ice cream box
lower-right cone : unwanted plastic cup + 1 dollar shop plastic cup
antenna tube : pool noodle with special treatment
antenna cap (up and down : cotton swabs holder
Antenna: stolen from 4g router at home
TK Shoulder strap : made by myself using epoxy putty
the good thing is these boxes are still usable, I can use this backpack to store my patches / coins while not trooping.
while trooping I can carry extra Velcro / heat glue gun...etc for emergency repair

The tube looks a lot better, but if your GML follows the CRL you will definitely need to remove the cog and decal at the bottom. Also please note that you will need two MP40 ammo packs, one for each side.
For 501st approval:
- Belt Pouches
- Two three slot German MP-40 style ammo pouches shall be worn on the hips with one on each side of the belt.

thank you for the comment,
I have one MP40 Ammo pouch at right hip, another one is on the way (will also remove the number at upper-right box before EIB application))
will retake all photo and double confirm all in order before my next move
- Belt Pouches

approved, next step: getting it dirtier and try to apply EIB approval (I've ordered Orange Pauldron and additional MP40 pouch)

Thank you Eric, I've stated my reason to our GML, lets see what they come back first.Hi. If you're ok with it I am happy to send an email to your GML instructing him/her to approve you since your costume was complete after the CRL change.

My build is complete, and submitted my application on 12 Feb, the online visuall inspection was commenced on 22 Feb, but now not able to pass anymore, just bad luck I guess.Have you started your build yet? Or rather did you start it before the CRL change went into effect two days ago?
The changes have been made already. Orange only and two hip pouches plus a shoulder pouch as seen in the game

The new CRL Makes my HWT Not able to pass basic approval... So orange pauldron and 2 MP-40 pauldrons at both side of hips are concluded?

Gilbert,
Looking good.
I would like to point out a few things to you. I am not sure who your GML is that will be reviewing your application, so I cannot speak for him.
As you know, we strive toward uniformity in the HWT packs, that being said, you will most likely need to remove the Imperial COG from the radio. It does look cool, but should not be on there for approval.
I understand your location makes it difficult to obtain the proper materials, but the sizing of the cones and size tube might be a little off. But again, this is up to your GML.
Your armor looks really good. You might want to think about getting it a little dirty (since we are Heavy Weapons troopers that have seen battle). I have used black washable paint. That way, all you have to do is rub it off, when you want to be shiny again. It is not a requirement to weather your armor and pack for the first level, but if you hope to go to EIB or Centurion, you will need to add the battle damage (i.e. weathering).
Glad to see you removed your drop boxes from your ammo belt.
Again, these are only my observations. Good luck and it will be great to have another Heavy Weapons Trooper on-board.
HWT backpack mark 2
I know I should remove the Imperial COG, but I love it so much, just let me keep it for awhile
-
Thanks for the comment, i was considering to add some brown colors splash as I thought HWT may sometimes step in moddy water during combat, but let me think a bit more of it, thanks again.
-
If you have any questions along the way, please ask.
thank you so much ~

thank you for your valuable comment Shawn,
in fact, I am still searching perfect materials to make my pack looks better.
as for weathering, I have prepared black / brown / gray water colors to standby, will revert
once I decided which planet / damage this armor has been gone through.
cheers and will revert latest photo here soon
