  1. Good idea. Right now, its stored away in a storage unit. Ill have to find it, pull it out, and take some pics. IM not sure pics will really show the difference in texture (that's another thing about the suit... It has a 'coarse' texture in comparison to my Walt's suit...

  2. I realize this is a bit late, but I was bitten by an ebay seller. Apparently he has a reputation on here. He says he's a 501st member, but the armor I got reminded me of those cheap kids Halloween masks (MAYBE twice as thick, but not by much)...  It was a cheap price but I learned a lesson from it...  IM going to use it on a mannequin one day... Ild be afraid to wear it...

  3. Well, Im not sure if its me, but I cont seem to post on the "Sound Off" topic (it may be my phone, but I can post here)... I was recently approved (ANH stunt TK) in the middle of moving from WV (Garrison Corellia) to SC (Carolina Garrison). Been working on my build for over 3 years off and on... Thanks to James Welsh (WVtrooper) for his patience and encouragement!

  4. And I can vouche that there are people on ebay claim to be members of the 501st... I got armor from one when I first started (maker of things). It was not very good quality and I've seen others warning about buying from him.

I was also one of the many victims of one of the "approved venders" who also has (or had) official licencing. Now this vender has multiple lawsuits because they make promises but don't deliver (literally for years)... Research the vendor!

  5. I personally will never buy Anovos', especially pre-orders due to a bad experience (ignored my emails and were months past due on my order. It took about 3 months instead of the supposed 10 days for my refund) and reading about so many others with complaints. I just pre-ordered a kids TK kit from Walt's (they have awesome customer service!!). The price was around 3/4 the price I paid from my adult kit. But that's just the hard shell... A TIE pilot has a lot less hard shell... Send them a message on Facebook for prices. They usually get back with you the next day at the latest (usually minutes)

This is what I bought- $8 at Joanns:

One pack like this that had the tools, and two packs without the tool. I'm still building, but they haven't given me any trouble. (I'm using 2" chunks of black nylon webbing instead of ABS plates, FWIW.)

    Amazon has them too.

The link is gone. Went to Joannes today but they dont have a lot people have listed in the past. Its new/different stuff now.
