  1. So after a very long wait, I'm finally ready to start working on my first Sandtrooper costume. Under the recommendation of my local garrison, I've purchase most of my suit from Ooota Goota and collected most of the accessories and parts I'll need to finish this build while waiting for what they called the Big Box Day. I hadn't previously found the time to work on it because of my full-time job and apprenticeship, but now that things are slowing down after the holidays I can finally get started! And of course the first piece I chose to start with was the helmet. It took me just over a week to get it near finished, but I'm happy with the results so far. 1) Sanding and Priming 2) Adding details with Humbrol enamel 3) Set and ready for weathering I've been following all the guides and videos I could find that involved painting Sandtrooper helmets as close as I could. Though after looking at it for a while, I might remove some more of that paint before sealing it up. Idk, would this be considered too heavily weathered for 501st approval?
