It came already trimmed down.... Am I right in saying it will need a shim on it?

Hello After a bit of a false start I finally got my armour through.......my bad for going to Flea Bay!! Thank you TK Armour for helping out!! Anyway, my first problem is that the forearms, if glued in the seem, are a bit snug (many must have noticed this!) What is the best way (and one that would be accepted for clearance) to find another inch or so? Thanks in advance
