1. After five years of working on my Star Wars Fan Film (that prominently features an E-11 and a Trooper), I wanted to quickly reach out to say a big thank you to being so kind during my build time. This has been an awesome and helpful community when I got stuck, but mostly I was reading quietly. Also I wanted to share the result with you. Hope you enjoy:
2. Thanks Tony!
Would a hot water bath mean I'd have to take it apart again? Removing E6000 or will it withstand it?
3. Alright down to the final stretch! Shins are assembled and looking good, but I can't get them to close nicely in the back. I use the default Anovos hook and loop system. But I can't get the two halves to align flat... I mean if looking at them from the top the angle is pretty steep and not flat. I can close it though and it is fine but there is some gap and some Velcro is visible. Any idea what to do?

The other pain is the sniper knee. It seems I need to remove some of the inner area as it would go over that edge (see pic). And while clamping/holding it to test fit it, I need to bend and twist it quite a bit to get three "contact points". Is that normal?
On the outside part I can align it to match the angle and edge but I am wondering how the sniper knee return edge should be - on the side or actually sitting flush on top?
4. Thanks Kalani, but when trying to test-mount the sniper knee it actually really just fits 25+28 and not 24+27 well, which would mean that 25+28 should be left. But part 25 does really look like the inside of the right leg/calf muscle. When trying the sniper knee on to 24+27 it is really not following the edges, or at least it is much better on 25+28. This sucks
5. Ok, so before this whole shin-gate calms down too much, I'll chime in quickly with a question - probably/hopefully my last before wrapping it up: I have paired 28+25 right and 24+27 left - see the photo. I am confused as one can possibly be, so here's me wondering: is that correct? Many thanks again - as always
6. Thanks! Yes, it has indeed an almost 90 degree angle... I just noticed the pic was not uploaded. Trying again...
7. So almost done with my build and big thanks once again to Tony for this thread - would've really been much more difficult without it. However still waiting for my boots to arrive then I can finish shins.... (I might come back with questions about that though haha).
But now I have a question regarding the upper section on the back plate: the blue area is really pinching and hurting my skin so I am wondering two things: how far apart are back and front plate (how big is/should the gap be?) and would it be ok to cut some of the return edge to make this area more comfortable (red line Spule ne the cut).
8. So I finally found some time to try the described technique (score & snap). Worked quite well and is also considerably faster! Many thanks again for explaining it! I guess I was just to "scared" to really snap it fearing to break/tear something... Now I have the forearm parts but as others asked already too the armor seems way too big for my forearms so I need to trim - question is: if I trim the inside part, do I have to cut both (long) sides? For example if I need to loose 10mm circumference is it ok to cut those 10 mm away from one side or do I have to cut 5 mm on each so that the shape does not look unbalanced? Regarding the lower repeating edge of the forearm (at the wrist): As described here, to be film accurate and for Centurion level these have to go: question is before or after assembly/glueing? Thanks for all the help!
9. Thanks all for the feedback! If it wouldn't be for the good reviews about the Doopydoo stuff I would have not taken their website/store seriously... Anyway, ironically this morning I got an email saying my kit is dispatched So good news there. Still the lack of communication is a bit of a letdown.
10. Being pretty new to this, I have ordered an E-11 upgrade kit from Doopydoo's. I have paid it already and also received a confirmation email but no updates, no shipping notes and obviously no package yet. Tried to email them twice with no answer and calling both phone numbers wasn't successful either. Is that normal? How long does it normally take to receive an order. I am based in Germany, so that shouldn't take too long I guess... Any feedback from your experience would be great. Thanks!
