  1. Hey guys, I've had a lot to do recently and wasn't able upload my progress. So here we go: The Amobelt around the thigh is attached as well now and the Strapping is done, but I guess I'm to thin..... When I wear it you can directly look into the armor from the sides.... I don't really know what I did wrong or can do against it, because padding is no option in this case I think. Do you guys have any idea how to fix it? I thought about cutting the top of the chest to make it a bit shorter and cutting the shoulderstraps a bit aswell. You can see the gap, circled with red Help meeeee! Please ^^
  2. Thanks for the advice with the shins! This time I was trying to fit the torso armor. Because my abs plate is damaged and I will get another one I just put the three other plates together. Well.... the sides overlapp quite a "bit" should I trim them a bit down or leave them and strap them together? The white trim for the edges is already cut, but I pulled it off several times with the tape so I put it down for the fit.
  3. Here we go again. Thought I might show you some (well actually a lot) of picures of what I have done now, sorry for the bad quality...my smartphone isn't that good. Let's start with the biceps, not very spectacular, but at least done. The rest of the arm looks like this at the moment (the second forearm is a little shucks and is not fitting yet...) Helmet is ready!! Now I've got a question... the shins... I hate them so much couldn't find out if they're right now. I have to replace one half anyway because I cut of the returnedge on top. But here is the fitting so far, is it right like this?
  4. Awesome thank you, then I will cut out the eyes a bit more!
  5. Glued the forearm now, think it looks quite ok. I painted some parts of the helmet already, the rest of the colours are still on their way... that kind of annoys me because I ordered them about a week ago. Tonight I glued the biceps parts together too. @ scott.lindsay.5209 I don't think I will need to shim the calves that much, they fit quite well when I tried them on with tape, but we'll see Pictures of the "end version" of the forearm and the painting:
  6. I cut down the edges a bit further and now it looks quite ok. Someone suggested to me to cut off one of the edged completely, that would give me another view mm, but I fear that it's not "overlapping method" anymore when I do so. What do you guys think? Ah here are the pictures of the tighter one now.
  7. Hi, thanks for the answer justjoseph63, the problem with the arms is that it's a RTOJ trooper and because of that coverstrip und butt joint are not allowed, not even for rank two. Forearm Armor For 501st approval: Forearms are fully closed. For level two certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Forearms use the overlap construction method. Using the butt joint and cover strips is not allowed. Thank you gmrhodes13
  8. Hi there, I've been lingering for so long in different forums and allways wanted to builed my one TK, finally I decided to buy one and... I startet building my CFO-TK a week ago! Until now there have been a view bloody fingers and some panic attacks, but I'm fine, I guess..and so is the armor! The helmet is done so far, eyes und paint are still missing, I've got a problem with one of the ears, I'll load up some photos later, the glue is not dry yet. More or less all the other parts have been cut out and the white trimm is fixed on the edges as well. I have had no problems so far, but today I was trimming the arm parts. Well I'm 1,78m tall but only 53kg "heavy"...I think this explanes why the armparts more or less just fall of without even touching man hand. Probably my arm could fit twice in the armor. (Sorry for the awful quality of the pictures) Is there any possibility in making them a bit tighter? Or is padding the only way to do it, I think it would look quite weird when the arm is as thick as the padding...? That's it for now, I hope maybe someone has an answer for my problem! Cheers, Bianca
