I feel like they could have built it slightly better, mind you I am still fairly new to this but you would expect a certain amount of continuity between the films. As it sits there are more armor differences between RO and ANH (which in all likelihood ends with the plans being loaded on the Tantive IV) then there are between ANH and ESB (which occurs 3 years apart). As it sits though with construction they do not have the same look and illusion as the armor that we wear now, our armor passes off as real armor (quirks and all), but to me the armor from Rogue One looks more like a costume, what with the splitting armor parts and elastic everywhere.

For now I use a 24 Gallon Gorilla box, it fits everything except for my bucket. I am planning on upgrading to something better with larger wheels and more space.

Thank you very much for granting me this opportunity, since starting on this build (which is my first) I was intimidated by the large pile of plastic; but thanks to the expert tutelage of both TK1636 as well as yourself I was able to make this armor look even better than I could have ever hoped!

Have removed all trace of overspray as well as paint on abdomen button.

Here are the new photos of the frown.
Please note that the paint is still wet, hence the shininess.

It is hit or miss, the way to view it is that I am EIB doing some polishing for my Centurion thread and I don't have the soft goods yet.
-
Looks pretty good, the only things that I see is on the helmet the eyes need some TLC, and as was pointed out on my EIB thread the frown will need repainting. The thermal det is too long and needs to be painted. Also I am not sure how the staff will feel about the fact that you have three straps connecting your ab plate to your kidney plate on both your right and left sides.
-
I have taken this kit to EIB! After a little more tweaking it will be Centurion, I do have to say it is a pretty solid first kit.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity and I will set about making all of the improvements that were suggested.

Mind you I am far from an expert but your thighs appear to be too big.

Are there any other images that need to be uploaded?

Hi Brandon
Could you please post a photo of the other side of your Blaster, we only can see the counter side.
Thank you
Sorry about that, I have uploaded the image so you can see the charging handle side.

Fixed the issue of no D-ring picture, thank you for pointing that out!

It was elastic and E6000 that I started using on the torso but then abandoned in favor of the superior bracket method, and as for the belt I am planning on getting a TKittle belt after I get my tax return.

I can officially state that I have gotten my ANOVOS kit to meet Imperial standards

Perfect, thank you! I'll definitely give that a look over and probably start trimming out my pieces tonight as I think most of the requirements come in the form of how it's put together, the gloves, belt, hand plates, etc.
I do have a few questions though. In regards to "no return edges" does that mean that the pieces have to be flush? The example being the left over material around the eyes on the Anovos helmet that really need to be trimmed down?
Also, has anyone else's helmet had this issue?
I kinda felt that the rubber around the bottom of the helmet should have held up more than just one day before starting to come apart. I think it's nothing that some super glue would fix though. Otherwise, the adhesive for the velcro on the hard hat system in the hat is already coming undone. I plan on replacing that with motorcycle padding or helmet padding of some sort as it doesn't provide a good fit right now as it is.
The spreading you see is due to the fact that they used S-shaped trim (which is screen accurate) and is to be expected, as for the hardhat band I just swapped that out for my ACH pads it made a big difference.

Which translated means that everyone stateside will get their soft goods in the next 2 weeks.

After taking part in an armor party hosted by my GML I have the correct brass groin split rivet and as stated by sylverbard the crotch rivet is not painted, the rest of the rivets are. Also woohoo I have a clamshell and I just need to do some tinkering and painting on it.

Saw this earlier. It looks like the kidney & ab plate are riveted together on the left side. Is this okay for basic approval?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The rivets on the left are a requirement for Centurion level as long as they are 10mm from the edge, but I am still waiting to know if silver crotch split rivet is okay.

So question, the kit only comes with silver split rivets, is that ok for the upper levels of approval for the crotch rivet?

Also tuck your neck seal into your shirt.

I have to admit he is ambitious...

Just found this on eBay, so the question is who wants to buy eight sets of armor?
