Hey guys, my name is Ricky. I am currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley and this summer I successfully semi completed my AP armor. I say semi because the only thing left is my thermal detonator needing to be completed. My entire freshman year I saved up enough money and I was able to fulfill a life dream of being a stormtrooper. I have been lazy on the 501st application process because of school. However I want to finally get everything settled. By any chance do you guys know if I get away with the uncompleted TD? I am running low on funds and can't buy the belt clips to actually be at 100%. Other that guys it's been truly an honor and I hope to meet the Golden Gate Garrison fairly soon! Until next time troopers!

Hey guys so I'm about to head over to JoAnn's and some other places to buy strapping hardware. Can you guys help in giving me the definitive measurements and things I need to buy? I have split rivets from trooperbay but I need guidance. Thanks

Here is the traditional brown box... I immediately started trimming the fore arms however before I added the final cover strips I need to know what measurements to cut (since AP armor doesn't come with pre trimmed cover strips)

After months of saving and months of waiting, I finally received my untrimmed AP armor. I have to admit that seeing all the armor laid out is beyond daunting. However, since I am on summer break from college I plan on finishing before the month ends. Stay tuned for more details and questions. [Imperial boots.... Thoughts?]

Hey I just want to get your thoughts on Picard and his Imperial boots. The wait list for TK boots is pretty extensive so I just wanted to get the boots out of the way since I'm about to start my build. Thanks!

[AP vs MTK Help!]

After a helpful member told me to consider MTK armor against AP, I wanted to know some of your guy's opinions. Other than MTK being cheaper than AP what other factors should I take into consideration? What is the ease of fabrication, sturdiness, finish? Thanks!

[Help out a 501st hopeful!]

Hello there 501st! I'm a college student right now and for the greater part of the semester I have been saving up money to start my build of ANH armor. I raised the necessary funds to purchase AP armor (after seeing all the good reviews) along with accessories like boots, gloves, neck seal, blaster etc. However, I am having second thoughts considering that the Anovos armor, although its at 450 now, is a third of the price of the AP armor. Since summer is coming and I'll have time to work on the armor I am siding with AP armor for its availability against the winter release date of the anovos armor. I just wanted to see what you guys have to say about my dilemma, any advice is well appreciated!
