  1. Hyperfirm has a facebook page they respond very quickly too. They have just finished making new even more accurate molds. Includes the charging handle now HFX Productions on Facebook
  2. I think the Anovos Website said it could be late 2016 before the kits are going to be opened back up again
  3. The shadow trooper from the tested video was sent to them by Anovos but unsure is it was created with the newest molds and processes. The bucket was sent to frank at tested to review but I have searched and not found a video as yet.
  4. Hey Mark, I'm Sorry I offended you. My intention was not to school one of the most educated and informed members on this forum as you clearly are, by your pedigree. I'm guessing there are a lot of first time troopers eagerly watching these posts looking for what ever new developments they can find. And there are a lot of old school masters like yourself as well. This was a general statement aimed at everyone. Hopefully we can all learn a thing or two. I guess I welcome Anovos because they are allowing more fans to realize the dream of being a trooper for the first time, me included. I was 14 when the first movie came out and I still get excited when I see a trooper today. Personally I love the look of the sharp lines and I have spent hours looking at all the different iterations of the helmets from all the movies. I imagine because of the immense numbers of armor they are pulling from these molds that the aluminum was a practical solution. I would be curious to see if the first pulls are as sharp as the 10,000th pull. The landscape of making props and costumes is changing all over the world in every aspect. Perfectly symmetrical props, helmets and armor due to CAD, 3D, CNC, Etc... is the wave for now unless there comes a time when people prefer a more imperfect feel. You don't have to embrace it but it's here like it or not. Thanks for your contribution to the craft and this site!
  5. Everyone has an opinion. And I think this way of thinking is so far off base. Know one other than the Anovos select group has even seen this armor in person and you are ragging on it as if you have had it in your hands for a personal in-depth review. Why not actually let the jury have an opportunity to hear the case before you condemn the accused. In all likely hood this armor is very nicely done. As almost all Anovos products that have been released from other lines. This TK is bringing the opportunity for thousands of fans to Troop along side others that would never been able to due to cost restrictions. The license and the ability to mass produce these makes a quality product more affordable. Some people just wanna feel like they belong to some elitist country club and like to turn their nose down at anyone they think doesn't measure up. You don't have to drive a Rolls Royce to share the road. I'd like to hear from you. Do you have a kit ordered? Do you own another TK?
  6. Compare to the original Stunt helmets, which is what this is modeled after and I think you'll find that this helmet is an incredible likeness. They managed to retain the original assymetry but clean up all of the bumps and lumps that would have never existed if they had the budget and time to clean up. Other prop makers have replicated exactly what was on screen but they are ugly as hell, bumps and all. If thats what you want you can buy it. These are great looking in my humble opinion. Here is a link to photos of the original stunt helmets for comparison http://starwarshelmets.com/original-ANH-Stunt-Stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm
  7. Franks Tweet " Trying to scare Mike Senna's amazing BB8with some Anovos helmets"
  8. Hey I just tweeted Frank Ippolito and he responded. This is the Bucket they will be shipping. Anovos sent it to him to review on Tested
  9. I know this was asked previously but I don't know the response. Could you possibly share or be willing to sell the files thanks a ton VinMan
  10. Lemmie know happy to make a custom one got you!
  11. I just took the general look and feel of the original and made it more complex. I wanted it to look and feel more technical.Pretty much scrapped a bunch of stuff from the goodwill. Along with a trip to Walmart. The antenna, Gatorade bottle, small sink plunger. The base is from an oil drain container from harbor freight. And picked up the side tube from Home Depot The boxes are made from Sintra sheet plastic No real design plan I just went with what felt cool
  12. A restocking fee should not apply to a product that has not yet even left stock.
  13. Is it possible to sell your slot to another buyer for a small profit rather than cancel?
  14. I'm pretty certain the first Stormtrooper kite were offered at Star Wars Celebration in April 16-19. I don't believe anyone had the opportunity to buy in February. Everyone is watching for the first shipping emails. If there was one delivered everybody on the forums would be buzzing about it. The last message from Anovos was that the December Newsletter is awaiting approval from Disney before it can be distributed.
  15. There have already been photos from the set of rogue one leaked of the TKs. They are same as original trilogy which makes total sense
  16. Are you for real? Do you even have a tk ordered from Anovos? Why don't you cancel it. And order a Rubies for twice the price. Omg cry babies really piss me off
  17. I'm starting to second guess myself. Really starting to think the shadow trooper could be awesome. No rules when it comes to modding it any way you want.
  18. I'd say chances of getting a kit for $400 after people have been waiting since as early as April to get their hands on one is about as likely as getting a sno-cone in Hell!
  19. It is a bit sad and concerning to me that there is so much negativity from a few selected members here buzzing over of a handful of photos. I repeat what the previous member commented. If you have the basic skills to assemble a kit you can make the basic mods to a piece here and there to pass approval if not attain higher levels of approval. Why not be a little patient and see what actually ships or at least till Anovos responds to the comments that they have received. There are a ton of potential new members getting bent out of shape over the reactionary comments of a few folks who seem to concern themselves over details that may or may not even be a valid concern. It is likely that there will be things that need to be addressed or modded to meet approval, just like almost every kit that has ever been assembled – no difference.
  20. What a Debbie Downer! Ragging on the process and Armor and you haven't even seen the first one in person
  21. I really don't think you're going to be stuck with this kit forever if you are not pleased with it. I'm certain you can turn it on a dime and make every penny back. I think the average fan will clamour to get thier hands on one when they start shipping.
