  1. So from the research I have done the only modifications to make a RS Props ANH Stunt Centurioun Level is to swap the hand guards to rubber ones and add a d ring to the E-11. Aside from that is there anything I am missing?

For clarification this is ordering the complete ensemble from RS. Assembled or disembled I'm still debating.

Can anyone help me out, especially the guys and gals who have the RS Armor and are Centurioun approved?

    Thanks much!

(Mods feel free to move this post if it is in the wrong section.)

  2. Just burned through all 17 pages. Man, what to do. I was about to pull the trigger on a complete RS setup, since my goal is Centurion approval. It appears that ANOVOS does have their ducks in a row when it comes to this TK. That being said there are still many questions that are unconfirmed and unanswered. That being said, like so many of you have mentioned the price is unbeatable.

I do feel that there shipping suspense date will not be met. Being a small and fairly new company, and not being logistically savy the possibility of a 8 month wait may turn into a 12 to 18 month wait.

Regardless, I only have a few days to decide what I am going to do.

  3. Dark CMF, Where in NY do you play?!?! I live in Finger lakes region and I can hardly find anybody to play paintball/airsoft anymore!

I am oringinally from that area, but reside in TN.

Ok, so hobbies. Always been a huge Mustang fan and have owned a few Mustang most being specialty mustangs, 02 Saleen, 10 Stage 3 Roush and then a 13 Stage 3 Roush. All are currently sold due to me close to my "first" retirement. Once I get my second career started I will possibly get back into one.

A real big Lego Star Wars fan and have a large O/T collection of Lego SW sets in my man cave/bulding room. I make my own models during my free time. Currently working on a project I plan on revealing at the next Celebration in Orlando. Not sure how many of you attended CVI in 2012 and saw the Lego sets on display. Mine was the large ISD I had built from scratch.

Aside from that, picked up road biking this past fall. Glad spring/warmer weather is here so I can start riding again. I was a avid runner, but between my recently diagnosed sciatica and degenerate back diesase my running has been sidelined for now. 18 years in the Army will do that to you. Luckly biking is a less impact activity.

Of course myself and my boys fish and play airsoft here and there as well. Stay pretty busy. Lot of cool hobbies you all are into. Radio control planes would be cool to get into.

  4. Thanks for the welcome troopers. After doing more research I have changed my mind on armor choice. I am looking at purchasing a RS Stunt ANH Propmaster Stormtrooper. I am looking at buying the complete all ready built kit, while it is a bit pricy it is far cheaper than my Vader since I had over $3000.00 into that. Yeah, Vader is one pricy dude.

I guess my question would it be sacriledge to order a fully built kit? From reading on several of the threads it seems like building it yourself is the preferred (initiation) way. I am fairly crafty, and anal person. I am sure perfection would drive me to success. The armor I am fairly certain I could do...the helm...not comfortable with building that at all. I would prefer getting that already built. Of course I could reach out to local garrison. One of my FB friends is a local 501'st member and has a RT MOD TK. I know he would be willing to give me a hand.

So that being said I have two courses of action, once being buying the helm built, with the unbuilt armor, and the build kit RS makes. I would then buy the undersuit, boots, and blaster from another source. Then two being buy the already built kit. I would obviously save money with the first course of action.

What is better PVC or ABS? Seem ABS is the prefered armor choice. Plan is achieve EIB and then Centurion status.

    What say you all?

FYSA shipping was quoted at $103.00.

  5. Worked at a grocery store back in my younger days. Last name is Carpenter.....payroll misspelled it as Carpenater. One of the managers caught it and the name stuck. It is even my Army AKO email address (back in the day when you could choose your own). Let's just say it gets some raised eyebrows when my evaluations are signed. One of my supervisors calls me Carpenater. I thought about changing my email ..but nah...it's too cool.

  6. Jake Carpenter here. From Clarksville/ Fort Campbell, KY area. Looking at building a Stunt ANH Stormtrooper. I am 5' 10" and around 175lbs, so looking at a AP trooper. Made initial contact with Mark and been doing a lot of reading on here. Will continue to research before pulling the trigger and ordering the armor. On the fence if I want to tackle trimming the kit myself or not. Anyone put a AP kit together that can give me some pointers, perhaps a tutorial? Originally I started out building a ROTS Vader, got about 95% complete and then sold it due to not being that tall and didn't want to walk around on platforms. Look forward to any advice and help you guys and gals can give me.
