  1. Awesome, thanks. That answered my question. I'll probably go AP for the size then. Thanks guys!
  2. So after the input I got on another thread I posted about armor sizing, I was leaning towards AP (largely due to the sizing of the waist). But I did more reading up on the armors, and I have another question about AP vs RS, with regard to the higher levels of certification. RS assembly requires butt joints and cover strips, which you need for EIB/Centurion, while AP has overlapping joints. (I know the AP mic tips are off too, but that's easier to change.) First off, this is my first build. I assume this is like anything else, and we all learn by making mistakes. Would I be nuts to try to build it to EIB or Centurion standards? Might I be better off just doing an AP with the overlapping joints then later on doing a RS? Also, can you choose to finish AP with butt joints and cover strips instead of the overlapping? If so, where do you get the cover strips? Thanks again guys, I know I'm shot-gunning you all with questions.
  3. Thanks for all the feedback guys! Sounds like I'm going to lean towards the AP. I know anything can be trimmed to fit, but I don't want to put any more speed bumps in my path than I must, since this is my first build. Also, a lot of the local guys here in Michigan have APs so I'll be able to get help when I need it. Thanks again for all the input!
  4. Hey all. I'm hoping for some input on the relative fits of a couple types of armor. I'm female, and I want to do a "male" ANH stunt trooper. I've narrowed down my choice to either AP (Canada) or RS Prop (UK). I know AP is ANH derived, and supposedly is geared for a 5'10" 165 lb actor. I'm 5'9" and 154 lbs. However being female, I can only assume that I'm carrying my weight in different places than a British guy in the 1970s. My shape is fairly hourglass, and while I am by no means over weight, I have hips. And a butt. RS Prop is supposedly a bit more generously sized than AP, although I've heard the difference is fairly minimal. I'm hoping people here can help me make a decision. I know that a lot comes down to the sizing and assembly so the ultimate fit will be in my hands; I just figured I'd see if anyone here had any advice before I made the final decision. Thanks in advance! Charlotte
