Hey Pascal!
Welcome to the ranks, not only of Stormtroopers, but also RS wearers I hope your trip to the UK was fun, I'm friends with the RS guys and know they can be a bit crazy, but they're golden people!
As it happens, I have been diagnosed with cancer myself just after Christmas. It's been quite a shock, but I am positive and almost through with therapy, and I have to say the 501st community as a whole has been a huge support for me. In fact, the Dutch Garrison was the very first to send me a Get Well postcard
I hope your treatment is going well. I am just about to start my third (and the last planned) cycle of chemo therapy and things are looking very good here. I am hoping it's the same in your case!
Anyway, looking forward to trooping with you some day - after all, the German and Dutch Garrison join forces quite often
Thanks very much for your kind welcome words.
Sorry to hear that 'it got you too'. Fortunately chemo is suspensed for me now; instead the doctors put me in the 'wait & see' program. I'll manage! We'll manage!
Great that you received a card from your neighbouring Dutch Garrison.
Talking about the RS boyz...yes, they're nice guys hey? Such an experience to visit their workshop.
Looking forward to meet you...let's make a deal: both in good health!

Hello all !
Today I learned that my application has been approved for the Dutch Garrison.
My name is Pascal "Skyline" van der Toorn Vrijthoff and I live near the beach in the Netherlands. I was hooked on Star Wars since I saw A New Hope together with my mom when I was 10 years young. Saw the movies, read the books, played the games.
Last December I was unfortunate to be diagnosed with cancer. Now, I am very positive and always lived my life to the max, traveling all around the world, but still...this little voice in my head reminded me that one of my dreams was not fulfilled yet: To wear the armor of a real Stormtrooper. So I started reading...found 501st movie clips on the net...and realized I never knew about a Dutch Garrison of the (in)famous 501st!
I flew to Stockport in the UK, to the amazing guys of RS Propmasters (Rob & Simon), and went for one of the best suits: The Brian Muirs' approved full TK armor. And you have to understand that that was quite a challenge since I am pretty tall (1.92 metres). But like I said, they did an amazing job! Since a couple weeks I am the proud owner of a shiny white armor! A dream come true. Can't wait for my first actual troop. Have been chatting on the forum with the guys (and girls) from the DG and they're really helpful.
So, well...here I am. TK-23552 'Skyline'...reporting for Imperial duty!

I hope to do so soon. in the Dutch Garrison that is. Yesterday I spent a great afternoon with the guys from RS Propmasters in the UK. Excellent team with great craftsmanship. They'll be working on my first full TK set in the next couple weeks. Can't wait!
