  3. Hey guys! I'm working on my first CAP-armor kit and will join the Legion before the fall of the year (as I hope ) We here in Russia also want to create accurate TK kits. We have access to vacuum-forming device and the main problem for the sculpt is canonical measures and templates. My research of the topic has draw me at the edge of sadness and despair, because the only thing I've found is very old web-pages with some sizes. Can you advice me where to start? We don't want to create recats, so, we have only one way -- sculptings. But before we even start to create something, I must be sure that references and sizes will be accurate. Help me, please. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!
  4. Bump!! Here will be more progress soon "Soo-o-o-on...." ©
  5. Thank you for the advices! Nah, I have decided to start with the gauntlets. Firstly, I must notice that my main objective -- Centurion status achievment at the moment of whole costume approval. Check it, please: Also I've started to think about power cylinders, I have found the research topic at White Armor. So, I have bought 10mm Alu tube. Look, what we got. Cap on the cylinder is made for the test. I think I'll remade it, will make it wider. Anyway, I like it.
  8. Hey hey! Here comes the news. Yesterday I have fully assembled the clip. Yay, I love it! Also the grip is almost ready. It lays in the hand really nice.
  9. Okaaay... and another question. What is better? Assemble and paint? Or vice versa?

  13. Small update! I have passed the counter element, and tryed to do End Cap element. So, here is the process: First, I have done template and cut some layers of PVC with it: Next step. I have glued it together and cut the inner diameter to put the cap on the base tube of the gun. And cover it with putty to fill in and make it more plain. As we can see, it fits the tube quite nice! And the... sanding... sanding... and sanding... Now I have covered it with the next layer of putty. It is needed for maikng the final form (wider at the end). I think there will be more updates soon. While the putty is drying, I'm working with the grip.

  20. Greetings! While I still need to order armor, I have decided to craft E-11 in ANH style using scratch build method. I searched the Internets ( ) and found some templates in this topic: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25620-esb-e-11-templates/ But they are ESB. And there are no template for the pistol handle. Can someone help me with the ANH-friendly templates? Thanks! UPD. I have found also this. http://www.egner2design.com/E-11-PVC-tutorial.pdf But still no pistol handle (and another additional parts) templates.
