Great job everyone

Your CRL has the clips between 1/2 and 3/4 in width. I used bankers clasps off the internet and cut them. I believe evil boy here on the FISD sells them as well.

Well done on the snaps. That should take care of the failing problem you had with velco

Mike, another tip I learned here on the FISD, to save from gouging your armor when putting on and taking off your TD, put a piece of Velcro, the soft side, on the portion of the metal clips that go between your armor and the belt. It will save you a lot of damage over time. Again, looks great.

I had my snaps the same way on the butt plate. Like you said though, things do change. After some test fits and some uncomfortable poking, I cut a portion more off that tab and put a snap there and another one on the curved section of the butt plate. FWIW. Great build so far and awesome job with documenting it. i'm guessing it was a lot easier that the first order TK. Your making want to build another TK....so addicting.

I riveted my elastic to the back of the drop box. A lot of people will glue them as well. You can also glue the elastic strip to your belt to keep the boxes from moving. Hope this helps. I did notice that your cod is low on your body as there is a big gap. If you move the cod/ab up, that may take care of the back plate being too high. Just an opinion. Your doing great with this build and will be on Endor soon enough

You won't be disappointed with this armor. There is a lot of stuff so don't throw anything away. Looking forward to watching this build

Build looks great. Just some advise, when fitting your armor, put your under suit on as it will change how the armor fits

Your shins look a little high on your leg. Some advice, when your fitting your armor make sure you have your undersuit on. It will change how it fits. Also put your boots on when fitting the shins. If you don't when you put the boots on and shins they will push up and hit against the thigh armor. You will end up having to redo the shins. . My thighs are 26 in from years of sports. With my ESB I had to do butt joint them. You should be able to overlap yours. If not, there are tutorials on here on how to shim Check those out to get you past the thighs. My thighs were the toughest part of my build FWIW. Your build is coming along nicely

The rubies armor features so many inaccuracies, that it would be hard to mention all of them in one post.
Best advice for the time being is to go through all the reference pictures available here on FISD and start disassembling your armor bit by bit and change all the part one after the other.
Browse through the building threads and look for other troopers who started with a rubies.
Browse and research, start asking questions here and we will answer and help!
FWIW, your arms have way to much room in them so you will need to re-size them to fit better. Can't see the shoulder straps in the pics to see how they look. The ridge around the chest armor and cod piece is more applicable for a ROTJ armor set as ANH and ESB did not have that pronounced ridge. Your left bicep is facing out and should be twisted so that the cover strip is facing out front. Can't see the details on the forearm armor. Your left forearm has a gap at the cover strip. you will need to either do a overlap or a butt joint there to close that gap which can be done when you downsize the forearm armor to fit you. These are some things that I see but maybe some of the experts can chime in. To get a true opinion, you are going to have to show pics of the entire set, both front and back and sides. Again, read through the CRL and reference pics as these will what you will be either approved or deferred on. in all honesty, you could probably sell this armor and pay a lot less for another set from a reputable armor maker you can find here. This is only my opinion as you will have a lot of work to do on this set of armor that may end up costing you more in the long run. Don't beat yourself up too much, before I got into the legion and approved, a couple years ago I wasted a boatload of money on a Rubie's Vader that turned out to be a really expensive Halloween costume. Do your research here. Ask questions as much as you want. The people here will not steer you wrong.

what you want to do is taper the thigh armor so that you don't have too much of a gap at the knee. (something like a church bell is not what you want it to look like) I have large thighs as well and this, next to the ears was the most difficult part for my build.

Good job on the TD build. FWIW, I put a soft side piece of Velcro on the metal clip that goes between the belt and your armor. This will keep the metal clip from gouging your armor when you put on/ / take off the TD

Got my Am 2.0 in Feb. I'm 6'2 265 and I still did some trimming Great set of armor and I'd buy another set without hesitation

Chris,
Great job on your build. Everyone who has built a bucket has felt the pain of building the ears but you nailed it considering you aren't using screws on only glue. Bravo to you. My only question is your brow trim suppose to be that low ?

This build should be pinned for future TK builds to reference. Amazing job on documenting and I swear you make it look simple. WELL DONE !!
