  1. Sorry about the title, I'm quite confused by which one is which as I've only recently stumbled on them. That's the forum equivelant of a trooper banging his head on a rebel ship doorway!
  2. How do the pipe blasters generally hold up? I'd be concerned about the likelyhood of accidental damage
  3. For clarity this is the blaster I'm talking about
  4. In that case it seems that the doopydoos PVC pipe kit is the way to go as you can't buy these blasters in the UK yet. Thanks for the info, it's put me in the right direction
  5. Hi guys, Has anyone had any experience with the Rubies 'Rebels' blaster? It seems to be an accurate enough entry level blaster to start with. I'm wondering if there would be any scope to fit in the Arduino circuit or not?
  6. It's going for £80 but I could probably get it cheaper. I've been given details of a kit that goes for £85, not sure what to do for the best. I could repaint and use the correct neck trim but maybe it's better to just build from a kit
  7. Thanks for your input - this is the kind of thing I need help on because I'm not versed at all in the accuracy of sculpts etc. Any UK members care to chime in regarding any kits I could look into?
  8. What do you guys think of this helmet? I'm contemplating buying it if it looks accurate enough ---------------
  9. Hi guys, just a quick question. Which helmet kit/off the shelf helmet would you recommend as an affordable first purchase? I'm looking for something that can be 501st approved and I'm willing to make any mods necessary
  10. What would you guys suggest as an affordable first helmet for 501st approval
  11. I'll use the helmet as a learning curve then, is the armour 501st approvable with work? Also what movie is it specifically from?
  12. Hi all, as Jason suggested here's a set of pictures of the armour. A few pieces are missing like ab buttons and aerators but I'll get those soon. --------------- Edit: Forgot to mention the thermal detonator is in there too, pointless photographing it at the moment as it's a piece of blue pipe.
  13. Thank you Jason, I'll get pics just as soon as I can. Right now I just have a tracking number haha I'm incredibly anxious to get my hands on it to start to work out how I'm gonna make it as awesome as I can.
  14. Thanks for your input Andrew, I've noticed this board is a hive of incredible information and I'm baffled as to where to begin. Truth be told I'm not sure, it's a gift from my family and my father bought it. All I know is it's 2mm ABS and nothing more. I'm hoping that it can be at the worst modified a little for 501st approval. I've always wanted TK armour but never quite realised the sheer detail that's involved
  15. Just wondering, is there anywhere online with a step by step breakdown of the different details of each TK style from each movie? I know that I managed to find a point of reference when I refinished my 70's Don Post Vader helmet but I can't seem to find anything on the TK details. I've been bought some armour for Christmas and I'm looking to get the details right and get 501st approval. Need to ascertain which movie the armour is a replica from first
  16. They are, but I have small feet so I can fit into them haha To my eye they look pretty close to the screen accurate boots
  17. Ebay, for under £20. They're plastic not leather but they look like a damn fine pair for the money
  18. Thanks very much That's the only thing that's stopped me from ordering them. Here's a picture of the boots as they come stock -------
  19. Hello there, I've sourced myself a pair of pretty damn accurate white chelsea boots, low profile black soles and just right. However, they come with black gussets - does anyone have any tips for the kind of paint I could use to paint them? Something that won't flake too badly or need regular touch ups
