  1. Thanks for the support guys! I will be changing the thread name, and posting some pictures soon! So far, the armor is no where near as thin as I thought it was. It feels quite durable actually, but then again, I haven't ever seen any other armor in person. It is definitely bigger than I had imagined, but after searching online, it looks like it is correct in size.
  2. Hello everyone! I'm super excited to be here. I finally let me nerdiness get the best of me, and I bought an armor kit. Unfortunately though, I now know that I bought it from a well-known re-caster. Yes, the dreaded MakerOfThings. I have read so much about specifications, and things like that because I wanted to get 501st approved, but I never thought to look into things like material thickness. The armor should be arriving tomorrow, and I plan on trying to build it anyway because even if I can't join the 501st, I am still going to love being in the costume i'm sure haha. Has anyone had success stories on here with thin armor, such as MakerOfThings? If anything else, at least it'll be good practice armor I guess. Also, if this wasn't the correct place to post this, please correct me. I have been looking forward to being active for so long. I have also thought about posting progress pictures/videos. Would this also be the same place to post those? Thanks for any help - Tom
