Been offline for a while. Got a lot done. I've been looking for the post of how to attach the armor belt to the canvas belt with snaps. No luck. Any help is appreciated. I'll post pics as soon as I get a new computer. I think I know, but would like to double check.

Cover strips.. 15mm arms, 20mm legs, 25mm back of shins? I know I saw it on here but can't find it again. Thanks.
-
No. I'm going to use cover strips. I just haven't trimmed the ends yet. Just wanted to line them up to see how they looked before cutting any more.

Shins.. Only rough trimmed.
I havent trimmed for butt joining yet just rough trim to see how they lined up. Thanks for any info.

Shins are killing me. They match up in the front, but off by an inch in the back. Guess I'm gonna have to do some bending. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Here's my T/mc lid. Must of got a better pull on it. My thickness is at 0.080.

Did some sanding on the pieces i have trimmed. The "tabs" for joining need to be cut back, but i wanted to hold off and see how i did on my first cuts. Here are some pics.

I bought from a vetted seller and that was how it was labeled. They said there were some changes so maybe that's the MK II. My advisor in our garrison has the same armor, the older version, and so that's what I got.
Now I just got to get started. A little overwhelming opening that box.

Here we go. Got the box.
And a look at some inside.
Trimmimg to start this weekend. Be ready for the many questions to come.

Mine is a long story that I'll make into a short story. I played guitar in a band called "One Step Behind" in the late 90's. We went by OSB, to most of our fans. Everyone in the band had a nickname. Me being Jeremy, turned into Jer-boy, ended up J-dawg. So now I go with band name and band nickname. Osbjdawg.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
I know it might take a while to get started but me and me son are excited to get going. I still gotta keep looking around for what is best for my size and what is a best for my build.
I will keep everyone updated on where I'm at on my progress.
Thanks,

Hello everyone,
My name is Jeremy and I've been a star wars fan from the time I was born (even though I was born in 76). Some of my earliest memory's were watching and recording the movie on cassette so I could listen to it if it wasn't on. I've always loved the stormtroopers and wanted to be one. I almost bought armor off the internet just to have some, then I started looking around and found out about the 501st. Great things everyone with them does and I figured if I wanna be a stormtrooper I need to do it right.
I've been looking around the forum and have learned a lot. My 7 year old son said I have to do it so I'm ready to go for it. I'll keep reading up and asking questions. Hopefully I can get this project stared to get some armor built and join the fun of what it is to be part of this.
Thanks everyone, hope to talk to you soon.
