I really hope they will make the stormtroopers more formidable then they were portrayed in the original trilogy. In every star wars dictionary, encyclopedia, etc... I have read, TK's are supposed to be the "Elite" shocktroopers of the Empire. I would love to see some TKs take down some pirates / thugs, or like, kick some enemies' butt in like hand-to-hand combat or something

omg so cute I want to hug the littlest trooper
-
I love those pics. The kids are adorable, and the dark Republic Commando trooper is sick nasty.
-
I'd love to see how you've tucked away the sound and fan system amongst that great
padding
Well done Sir!
I second this!!

Thanks guys I appreciate the advice!

Hey all,
I am looking for some industrial strength velcro to use to put kneepads inside my helmet to make it more snug. I was thinking of using this:
-----
Essentially I was looking for velcro that had adhesive on both sides (one side to fasten to the inside of my helmet, and one side to fasten to the pads. Do you think this stuff should do the trick? Is there any other better velcro that you all know about?
Thanks,
Phil

The inside of my AP helmet. TrikToys system with Stomper Hovi's
Hey everyone, thanks for all of the pics, this really helps.
^ In this helmet though, how did you attach the triktoys amp and everything? Did you actually glue the Trik Toys amp to the helmet? How about the fan, did you glue that as well? Also, I was thinking of buying the triktoys amp. How well does it work with Stomper's speakers?

Hello all,
I was wondering if you guys could do me a huge favor. I am trying to plan out how I want to position the electronics inside of my MR CE helmet. I am planning on getting the Radio Shack personal amp for in-helmet sound, and I also am getting Stomper's Super Trooper In-Aerator speakers, but I need to find a way to position the amp inside the helmet (along with kneepads for better fitting etc...). Just to get some general ideas about how to go about doing this, do you think you all might be able to snap some pics for me of the inside of your helmet(s) to help me figure out how to position my amp / batteries and everything?
I would really appreciate it, it would help me out alot.
Thanks,
Philip

Hey guys,
Currently I own a MR CE helmet, and I really want to try and install an in-helmet sound setup. I have heard that some speakers called Supertroopers are the best way to go, but I also know that there are other factors for putting a soundsystem in the helmet, spicifically getting the hovis that fit the speakers, and finding an amp that will fit inside the helmet.
I was wondering if anyone has sucessfully assembled an in-helmet sound system, and could instruct me on the best way to do this, and where to get the right / best supplies.
Thanks,
Phil

This guy looks totally sick.

That is extremely glossy I mean, I'm sure that level of gloss is what a Stealth Trooper helmet would look like in theory, but you are essentially reflecting everything around you! Looks kind of weird to me, but hey, if that's what Stealth Troopers are supposed to look like, then well done

no. totally unacceptable.
lol

Thanks for the input guys, but let me ask you something. What do you guys feel is the best solution for achieveing in-helmet sound? I have heard of a number of ways to do this (the areator speakers only bieng one option). The other option would be to somehow mount a voice amp INSIDE the helmet. And yeah, I also took a look at this kit: www.romfx.com I know it is expensive, but I kind of want the automatic static burst feature, and I could afford this kit.
Unfortunately, I can't really afford to purchase a full set of armor right now, but since I own a helmet, that is the reason why I want to mount something in just the helmet itself vs. some of the options you guys have suggested (mounting the voice box undernieth the chest piece).
So yes, your thoughts please. What are some solutions for in-helmet sound?

Hey All,
I currently own a MR 'Stunt' helmet, and I really want to add some in-helmet sound. I was thinking about buying this sound kit from trik toys:
-------------
What do you guys think of this? If this is not good, do you guys have any other reccomendations as far as in-helmet sound?
-
Ok, what size drill bit did you use?
-
If I payed you 100 dollars, plus the cost of supplies, would you do this to mine?
-
I'm going to do this to my MR helmet as well. Can you just screw the screws directly into the plastic, or do you need to use a drill bit and make a hole first before adding screws?
-
Hi Phil,
In the movie ANH, the Stunt (background) troopers lenses were a green single strip, their are a few guy's on the forum who can help you out with new two piece lenses that will fit your MR lid.
If it's MRCE? Just remove the three retaining screw's per lense & install your new lenses & hey presto.
There has been some discusion in the past on the acurate color of hero helmet lenses, I'm sure someone else might want to add thier thought's on that matter I'm just replying to your green question
hope this helps
Thanks. Where can I find the new lenses you are talking about?

Hi All,
I am brand new to the whole Stormtrooper movement, and I wanted to know, what is up with the flat green lenses? I recently purchased a Master Replicas "Stunt" Stormtrooper helmet, and I always thought Stormtrooper eye lenses were black. So what is up with green? Is green unacceptable for 501st standards? If so, how can I change the lenses on an MR Stunt helmet (the lenses that come with it have foam glued to them).
Thanks,
Phil

I'll take a few, I guess, enough to fit the frown of a MR helmet. How much would I need?

Hello All,
I recently purchased the Master Replicas ABS plastic Stormtrooper stunt helmet. I want to make a few subtle modifications to it to make it look even more realistic, such as putting wire mesh in the mouth instead of the fabric sheet, and placing black lenses in the eyes. I know there is a certain way to do this, but I really want to make the modifications carefully so I don't ruin the helmet. Do you think you could advise me on how to go about doing this? Specifically, I am refferring to the website www.triktoys.com for parts to do my modifications. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
P.S. I also eventually want to add a voicechanger to the helmet to sound like a stormtrooper, as well as add the static burst. What is the best, affordable method out there?
Thanks!
hey, another new guy

Dude, I saw your armor you made and that is incredible. I wasn't doing stuff like that when I was 15. But yeah, hooray for more young guys around (I'm 19)
