Crimson Phoenix Requesting Elite Status
Bromancelot replied to Bromancelot's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
I'm going to see if I can find a more comfortable way to fit the shoulder bells. I tried the one strap technique. Not very fun. I already have straps connecting my ab and kidney plates. Should I just make them tighter then? -

Yeah with snaps and velcro. -
How to apply my holster to my canvas belt? A picture tutorial would be appreciated. THANKS~!

So,I have this really annoying problem with my left leg. The back of my shin and thigh squeeze together, and give me horrible pain from it. Is there any way I can trim down my shins alittle bit, or cut off some of the lip and still remain accurate?

Ok... so apparently RadioShack has gotten rid of all it's voice amplifiers? Can someone please tell me where I locate one? Mostly cause for now this is cheaper than buying a ROM/FX. + hovies + wires + etc...

This was merely a test fitting. And I pinched my bloody leg again. That was the last straw. I'm trimming that leg tonight if I can. -

I'm not sure why, but I look very pissed off in this picture? Perhaps it's cause my shin broke again.... Just goofing off at this point. -

We used pop rivets to attach the knee cap. So much easier, I should probably get one. Here.... my shin snapped under the pressure of the CA glue. Boo.. :[ The clamp jungle and this is the mysterious clamp crotch spider. only seen in garages of of North America. Yeah, I had someone help me size my shoulder bells later that night after I left Luke's. Now I have to pull out that sewing machine again or make new straps for my shoulders. -

I need to quickly paint up those screws.... Yeah... I need to cover up all those screws with something that won't stab my face anymore. Also put some kind of protective guard/rubber on the bottom of the visor... or else it's gonna give my nose a blister. But more or less........ I'm done, son! Hell to the yes! -

Man.... finding that Admiral Grey was alot harder than I thought. Not one model store in town had it. It was ridiculous. So I went to Micheal's. Helmet 75% done! -
Thank you so much! I'll have to look around, but this defiantly helps. I really just wanted to know the names of the colors. I'm pretty sure someone in Virginia has this paint.
-
So..... I was wondering if I can have an exact list of the colors I need for a clean TK. there are at least 8 or 9 model and hobby shops I can go visit to find the paint. the only one I know to get is... testor 1138 grey, I think. Can you guys tell me what blues, black, and etc I need? thanks

I went down to see another member of the garrison, who helped me finish cutting out the rest of my armor. Not it's all sanded down and ready to be glued. I just took this cause I love Boba Fett. I finished sanding out the teeth and filing them down. Along with the eyes of course. Now I'm ready to drill, paint, and complete! I have to get me one of those belt sanders.... I must say. The bloody ear piece was the hardest and most annoying piece to cut out. Ah... the easiest piece. :] I'll keep you all posted on my progress. -
I know this isn't about storm troopers, but I'm unsure of where else to look. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, or shoot me a PM. So... I really really really, wanna find a Tusken raider Costume. Where do I start looking? Do you guys know anyone who makes them, (the whole costume) or do I have to buy it in pieces like the stormtrooper? (Undersuit gun, boots, etc) Are there different people who make them, like AP, TE, etc also? Thanks, Zym

Yeah... this is slightly faster than the hot blade. However, I only cut around the edges where I was actually supposed to cut. Cause I don't wanna screw it up by cutting ti close of something. I'll use a hot blade for the close stuff.
