Do you think the tutorial I am following is good for this armor?

I bought some Fiberglass Stormtrooper armor with Automotive paint on ebay. I don't know if I can assemble it the same way as ABS armor. I was gonna use this but I don't know if It is the same with fiberglass. http://www.rt-mod.com/_pdf/RT-StormTrooperAssembly.pdf
