I thought the same thing. Unless there was $350 worth of glue included, I didn't understand the great deal part.

They look a little high. Can you lower them down a little bit, and then tuck the bottoms in?

Apparently Bestine is a tradename for hexane.

Not benzine.
Bestine.

Bestine works better than anything. It's basically thinner for rubber cement. Once you try it you will never be without some.

I have a set of AP armor which I like very much, but I think the thermal detonator is a little small. The diameter is 2 3/8 inch. I think I read somewhere that the original parts were 68 mm.
What is the overall length with the end caps in place?
I have some 2 1/2 inch gray ABS tube from Plastruct, which is a lot closer to 68 mm than 2 3/8 inch. I plan to make a pattern to vacuum form new end caps. Just want to make sure I get the overall length right.
Thanks for any input.

TM Armour.... 1.5mm vs 2.0mm
in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Posted
Hello everyone,
I am having trouble deciding between 1.5mm TM Armour and 2.0mm. I have a full set of AP Armour, and I have an RS bucket. The detail on the RS is fantastic, but I really like the rigidity of the 2.0mm AP Armour. I just worry about sacrificing detail for strength.
Can someone point me toward some pictures of 2.0mm TM Armour? I've seen numerous TM build threads, but I can never tell if I'm looking at 1.5mm or 2.0mm pictures.
Those of you with TM Armour; what was your reasoning for going one way or the other, and which way did you decide to go?
Thanks a lot for any assistance or guidance on this.
Kevin
