Here is the final product that three of us from the GGG got to do for Lucasfilm for Chinese New Year. Can I be the template for the new CRL of Servertrooper?

Good work Ben
need that damn thumbs up button on here

Thanks all!
So the kit is a TM 2mm acrylic gloss capped armor, it has seen a couple of owners prior to me. But is still glossy as all get out and was shown a lot of love. The bucket is RS PVC, it matches the gloss on the TM kit really nicely.
I'll probably go for EIB, but since I did not actually build the armor I feel kind of conflicted about trying for Centurion. I have been told the armor itself would likely make Centurion with ease but it almost feels like I would be taking credit for some hard work that I did not do...

Welcome aboard Matthew, I'm right near you in Campbell.
-
Congrats Reza, from a future GGG member
-
Looking good, it looks like you might not need to go the full 6 coats
-
Welcome to the "Inglourious Bass-terds" Mike
-
Also forgot, looking much better than mine did after only 2 coats
-
Yeah don't sweat the brush strokes too much they get less and less noticeable as the coats go on.
-
Thanks Phil, good to know that they can probably get us to EIB.
Hopefully TKboots will be back up and running by the time I am ready for Centurion...From the get go I figured I'd need tw0 pairs of boots and two pairs of gloves so no worries there.
-
I can't remember how long it took but I went longer than 2 minutes as well. 1st boot certainly took longer since I wasn't quite sure how to go about it either.

Nice Ron,
Can't wait to see the progress.
Odd that the tape was not sticking. How big were the pieces you were using? I know when I tried to use larger pieces I ran into issues but half inch or so seemed to do fine.
-
Excellent, loved the Mini Me shot with Big Boba.
And how many times was "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" heard?
-
A belated happy birthday to you Vern!
-
Considering there really is no way toget TK boots at this current point I would certainly hope there would be some latitude at least on basic approval.
-
My GML has also given initial approval on these boots for 501st basic. So the EIB and Centurion status still is a question mark.

You paved the way

Nice man, it is a fun and easy project.

Thanks for sharing the info Tim, I am going to have to incorporate some of the info there into my regimen. I think I need to change things up a bit to get rid of the last 10 pounds.

Thanks for the good vibes and the advice Andrew and Steve, and apologies for the delay in responding.
Steve as requested I have inserted a close up picture of the hovi tip, do you need to see both up close or is the one here ok?
As for the sniper plate it does look like I have some work to do as it is riveted and it looks like my placement certainly could be better.
Also just to make sure I am reading you correctly is the sniper plate is currently the only hold up for EIB? I hope to work on the centurion suggestions...but I know I am quite slow and would like to prioritize the EIB stuff
Thanks again!
