  1. Honestly even the yellow washing gloves are too big, though I did consider painting them. My hand size is 5 which is smaller than an XXS glove. I need to find childrens gloves I think lol.
  2. Yup I'm aware, the chemical gloves I got came with liners as well, still huge on me. My fingers are very small ><
  3. Thanks for the suggestions Dirk, I've considered going with the fetish glove route but they all look too shiny to me. I might give the liquid latex a try if I can't find anything.
  4. Unfortunately all the super markets around here carry the generic yellow kind. I will keep searching though.
  5. Hello everyone. I'm posing this question to the female tk's, where did you find centurion status eligible chemical gloves that fit? The gloves on trooperbay are amazing but only come in medium + I found some military grade chemical gloves on evil bay that came in a size small, they just came in the mail today and they are way too big for me. I have searched all around amazon/ebay and my local stores and I just can't find anything that will fit me. Any suggestions?
  6. Here are some better shots of the ears.
  7. Thanks for the advice, I will grab some paint thinner on my way home from work today and fix that.
  8. What kind of paint thinner is safe to use on ABS?
  9. Any suggestions on how to fix the teeth? Rubbing alcohol maybe?
  10. Ears are done.. not perfect that's for sure. Seems like no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get rid of the gaps, so this is the best I could get it. I might sometime down the road get some replacement ears and give them another shot, but this will do for now. I also did a coat of paint on the frown, I'm going to do a second coat tonight and paint the vocoder.
  11. I put in the second set of screws and got it positioned how I want it. Next I'm going to attempt the ears.
  12. Ok, here is the now fixed side. I think it looks right, I'll just probably need to trim some off the brow like Paul suggested.
  13. Thanks for all the help everyone, I got the rivet out safely, going to try what you said Paul. I will post pictures before I rivet anything else.
  14. Yeah I never even thought to try it with the screws first. The helmet tutorial I was following just went straight to the rivets and the thought never crossed my mind. >< Oh well, how hard is it to drill out a rivet without hurting the helmet?
  15. So I think I messed up on riveting the helmet. I was trying to keep the trapezoids lined up with the eyes as much as possible, but it just doesn't look right to me. One side has a lot of room between the eye and the rivet and the other side does not.. I think there's going to be a small gap between the plastic on the side that has too much extra room.. and I'm not sure if the ears are going to cover it. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix this? Or did I completely f' up? help!
  16. Yeah I see what you mean about it being too high. I'm going for stunt so I will lower it a bit
  17. For the teeth, since I don't own a dremel I drilled holes into the teeth to get them started then used an exacto knife and a nail file to finish them off. I then put the brow strip on and put it together using some small clamps and magnets. I need to get some more clamps that will fit through the eyes to make it more sturdy when I go to drill it. Do you guys think this is a good placement for the brow? And if anyone notices anything else that might be wrong, feedback is much appreciated.
  18. Some updates. I started working on the TD but realized I need screws that are only available on ebay, so while I wait for those to arrive I decided to do some initial trimming and start on the bucket. I trimmed the armor down a bit, but haven't made any real drastic cuts yet. I'll post pictures when that's come along further. Here's what I've done with the bucket so far. First I measured 1.25 inches above the eyes and used measuring tape to draw a line. (The line is under the measuring tape, kinda hard to see. The measuring tape is above the line, because it was the only way it would lay flush and straight along the curve of the brow.) Next I drew lines around the contours of the cap, following reference pictures from all the awesome builds on here, and cut along the lines, leaving a little play room since it will have to be sanded. Then onto the face again. First did some initial trimming (using lexan scissors), following the lines I drew from the measuring tape and also following the contours of the bucket. Then I enlisted my super talented boyfriend (he's amazing with an exacto knife) to cut out the eyes. He drew lines along the inside of the eyes, following the curve of the mold. Then he went over the lines 3 times with the exacto knife to score it. For the first eye he had to cut lines and snap pieces out. The second eye 3 traces around to score it was enough to pop it all out at once. The second eye method was cleaner, but both work. This is a close up of the first eye. And here is a shot of both eyes. That's all for now, going to do the teeth tomorrow if time permits.
  19. Finally got to open it up and check it out.. looks fantastic! I think I'll start with the thermal detonator
  20. I will check it out thanks.. I am quite short though, but I love reading build threads.
  21. The big brown box arrived today just as I was heading to work! I can't believe it got here so fast! So now I'm sitting at work.. completely unable to concentrate on getting any work done.. when 5:00 hits it's off to the home depot to get some tools! I will post pics of the armor when I get home... I'm so excited.. and super nervous. (If any girls have any suggestions on trimming TM armor to fit a girl's frame, they would be much appreciated, I've only been able to find TM build threads for men)
