Hi Onigiri,
I shipped the helmet decals a week before my drama...are you talking about the CE Stunt decal kit?
You purchased those from me through this site, not ebay...unless you had an additional order on ebay...?
Please let me know...my email address is toonman@msn.com. I'd like to complete the order.
Thanks!

Thanks guys. I'm so fortunate to be a part of this group.
You guys are awesome.

Thanks again fellas.
I won't be doing any troopin' for a while.
I still have alot of pain from the surgery, and even though I am enjoying
the pain medication, it doesn't provide 100% relief.
Today I walked out to my car and to the mailbox....and made it back
inside without much pain, but I am doing the "old-man shuffle", which
looks ridiculous....lol.
Thanks again guys.

You guys are the best! I was overwhelmed at the responses.
Thanks everyone...it really means alot to me. The whole event
has really made me a new man.

Man, that's an eye opener. I'm glad you are ok. Look on the bright side tho, only 10 pounds to go
Once again, glad to see you still with us.
Thanks again fellas. It's really nice to be back and alive.

Hello.
This is a message to all of those who wondered what happened to me.
There are several people who ordered the coolers from me, and it's been
several weeks since I responded to anyone's PM.
I am home now, but this is what happened to me:
I was walking my dog along our street and I felt dizzy and faint, and
it felt like somebody filled my heart with air. It literally felt like somebody
was pumping air into my chest. I sat down on the curb and the next thing
I remember was the paramedics talking to me with hundreds of people
looking at me. I had a heart attack.
They took me to the hospital and I had a quadruple bypass
at the age of 42.
As most of you know, I've been working on losing weight, and I had been
exercising and walking daily, so I could fit into my FX armor.
I lost alot of weight in the hospital, and now at the slim size of 200lbs,
I'm almost there. I have to take it easy for a while, but it looks like the
surgeon that worked on me did a fine job.
I just wanted to let everyone know...I am so sorry to all of those who were
waiting for their items too.
Please accept my sincere apologies, I will take care of them as soon as I am
able to do so.
Thanks, and talk to you guys and gals soon.

Kevin is the guy to get them from. He will drill holes so you don't have to file down the posts too!
I'm planning on going all out on my MR CE.
The bar is high... but I think I can make it.
I went to that site, and the forums don't show up for me after registering.
Do you know his email address or can you contact Kevin for us so we may
discuss how to order some from him?
Thanks!!

It's AMAZING how nice these CE Stunt's can look with a little work.
Excellent job Luis! I can't wait to finish mine...if I ever get the time and cash!
-
I prefer to leave it in white so any signatures reamin intact. But thats just me.
Owning that helmet would be a dream come true to most of us.
Excellent work, I've never been more impressed with a lid-build.
-
FX Bubble lenses fit but you have to cut down the posts
I don't think the FX bubble lenses are "bubbled" enough...I've never thought they looked accurate.
If anyone knows where to get some nice bubble lenses, please let us know! (thanks!)
I am turning my MRCE into a Hero as well.

I've used Goo Gone. Loosens it up and won't hurt the ABS.
Don't confuse this with Goof Off though. Goof Off will eat ABS.
Any citrus based goo remover will work...he's right about Goof Off, don't
use that. I tried that on my FX lid a few years ago and it damaged it.
-
Excellent, thanks
Would you also agree with this:
I'm a total newb at this, so what polishing compound would you suggest?
Somebody suggested an automotive polish, but I'll be using the NOVUS system...
I wonder if anyone can elaborate for us?...

Any luck with getting the Rustoleum Pro-Enamel in the UK? I've tried and come up totally dry
To be honest though, I'd prefer Krylon H2O since it's way glossier. But I can't get that either Really looking for it in super-glossy Black for a Stealth Trooper helmet. All I can get over here is Krylon Fusion, but that's nowhere near as shiny. Any ideas anyone?
Fusion: Spray 1 coat and wait for 7 days. Then, wipe clean and spray another coat.
Let it sit for at least 20-30 days, then wet sand with 1500 grit sandpaper. When dry,
use a polishing compound and it will be glossy.

There has been alot of talk about paint recently. So I shot some paint today and thought I'd post up the results. Not to worry I'll get to Krylon Fusion when I get some.
I shot the paint on straight ABS, so no sanding or primer. The Rustoleum pro enamel is the closest match to the ABS like we all know. I tried some Krylon H20 since many of the Vaders are using it because of the insane gloss. Well I can say it is much much glossier than the pro enamel, but it is also a very bright white. If you painted a suit of armor with this It may match the MRCE well as bright as it is.
That white space next to the color samples is the color of the MR CE Stunt helmet...
Lol.

Please pardon all the inconsistencies in my soon to be TD armor and the prior noted work noted to be done to this helmet mold but here it is in action at the Walk for Autism, Mount Laurel, NJ on June 14, 2008.
Nice work!
I noticed a few things...the ears need to be fixed, the brow is really high (not sure if that's intended) and the eyes
are not trimmed neatly.
Otherwise, it's nice! (Are you going for a ROTJ look?)
-
WOOT WOOT! ILL TAKE TWO IN BLACK IF YOU HAVE THEM! IF NOT WHITE WILL DO! YOU THE MAN!
Excellent! My paypal is toonman@msn.com
I'm going to PM you with details right now...
Unfortunately, I only have white ABS...
Thanks!

dang! I just bought 2 60mm fans! any chance for a 60mm fan kit?
Oddly enough, YES!
I bought some 60mm fans by accident, so I have one here for the forming.
Let me know if you'd like me to make some for you. (I'd just send you the
ABS mounting unit, and you can add your fans? They would include all
needed mounting parts)
Let me know! Talk to you soon.

I hate how everyone uses some stock image...Play.com is using an image of the MR LE lid!
How hard is it to take a photo of a helmet? Even Redford Films used stock images of
the CE Stunt lid!
The eFX lid looks nice...I hope it's affordable when it launches.
Also, I REALLY like the bubble lenses...I wish somebody would make some for the CE buckets....

I wanted to use the same color for the tube stripes that Mike used when he painted his helmet, but I could not find it at my local hobby shops, so I ordered some from a website today. I went ahead and made the pencil lines on the helmet so that when the paint arrives I'll be ready
It'd have been much easier to use my tube stripe decals...I sell them on Ebay really really really cheap...I think $2.00.
They're the absolute correct color too.
I'm impressed though at your perfect stripe-lines! Nice work!

PandaMan said:Sounds cool. Looking forward to seeing those pics.
On another note, Mark, keep up the the losing of the weight.
Thanks Panda! It's difficult to shed pounds at my age, but I'm getting there. I actually
am losing weight at a much slower rate than earlier in my dieting, but that was to be
expected.
I'm actually down to 247lbs right now, and I hope to squeeze into my armor at
200lbs. (I'm only 5' 10", so my ideal weight is 180)
Here's a photo of the unit in a customer's helmet! It's been hard to keep up with
the orders, so I've stopped listing them on Ebay until next week at the earliest.
Thanks for the encouragement, and I'll talk to you again soon!

Ah....uh...you look GREAT!....
At least you'll fit in your armor!

Any progress on the lid?
I can't wait to see more!
I bet Ironclaw is biting his nails down to the bone by now!!

Got my HERO ears and they are fantastic...the screw hole happens to line up perfectly with the upper screw I used to bring teh back of teh helmet tight to the front so I will simply remove that screw and go though the ear and then the helmet.
The only thing I dont have now is
Brow trim
my bubble lenses
Trap and Tear decals
Hey Onigirl,
I have one more complete set of CE Stunt decals...let me know if you want them!

Hey Don,
I still cant drive and since I've been out of work for so long
I cant afford a taxi cab or the prints. I will try hard to get a
ride to the printers when my disability check finally arrives.
Shouldn't be much longer.
My sincere apologies...
